A little fresh mozzarella, some fresh tomatoes and basil, drizzle of olive oil - mmmmmmm....... it's almost summertime!

What herbs do you grow, Nancy? Basil fan over here!

God how I love fresh basil. Nothing beats the smell of it. We grow a bunch of it in the summertime. I can't get enough of it.

Here's a trick to keeping it fresh in the freezer for the winter. Just pick it and put it in a bag and put it in the freezer. Wash just how much you're going to use when you take it out of the freezer. If you wash it prior to freezing it, it won't stay fresh

I can't to get some basil

At our grocery store from the deli you can get a mozzarella, basil, cherry tomatoes and artichoke salad which is excellent!!!
Now that I'm thinking about it I think I'll have to go and get some!!!

Buy a pizza shell, a little bit of olive oil, some garlic, slice some tomaotes, put some mozzarella on it and save the basil for when there is about two minutes left

Basil, oregano, rosemary and chives are the ones I plant for sure as they are the ones I use most often when cooking. I used to have others, but as I have no sunny garden area and I'm reduced to pots, I grow these so they are abundant, and then I have a couple of "mixed herb" gardens that I have around simply because Al enjoys the aroma so much! LOVE the thought of the fresh tomatoes, basil and olive oil. I like a touch of oregano as well.....a small touch.

Now I'm hungry!

Ashley, we feel the same about you!

Does it seem like Thursday will never get here? Are you nervous or just ecstatic?

I'm feeling a little bit of both! I finally got the details of the event, so I'm going to have to go out and buy some modeling "essentials".
I am nervous about walking in high heels though... Nineteen years later I'm still hopeless at walking in heels, doing my hair in anything other than a ponytail, and putting on makeup. (I only use blush, mascara and lipstick. Sometimes an easy palette of purple eyeshadow (it makes my green eyes pop! )
Hopefully, I can learn these simple, basic things that every woman I know have mastered. Someday. That's what I get for being a tomboy until the age of fourteen!
