I was thinking YM2 but the grooves on the pushers tell me it's a Daytona. And the proportions and the absence of crown guards don't mean anything here since the teaser shows a watch that's not "fully formed" yet. If there was a way to magically fast forward a few more seconds I'd say we see all the components of a Daytona. So my final guess is something like a new PM/dial/ceramic combination.

Hence only the topmost features show, like the bezel, the topmost part of crown and pusher-screws. The crown guards are typically not higher than the crown and hence not visible here. They seem to be there though, as there is a bit of a lit surface just next to the crown bump. |

Personally, I would find it interesting if they made a smart watch. I don't see why a maker of fine mechanical watches should not apply their expertise to other technologies. After all, they previously sold a quartz model.

Hypothetically......From a business standpoint. If Rolex is going to produce smart watch (or re-enter the quartz watch market), the best strategy is to setup a separate entity with different manufacturing facilities, and optimally different management team. It's the best possible strategy that can be employed for a business to venture into different but related business that may be neglected/perceived as hostile by existing management.

+1 At the very least it should be under Tudor which is a more direct competitor to Tag and others in this space |

Sorry if I was being nit-picky! Of course Rolex did invent the 'Perpetual' i.e. their branded version of an auto movement with their rotor

I was going off of what Nav01L pointed out. That possibly the impression is not deep enough to start showing the crown guards and the full size of the pushers and crown it self. If what we are seeing is actually the correct size then a Daytona variation is out the window and I would go more along the lines of a Cellini variation. |

![]() It seems every time Rolex potentially is about ready to roll out a new diver I get all giddy and have to start flapping my gums. Last time I got sucked into this forum hard was during the DSSD teaser...and that led to years of me running my mouth around these parts. ![]() Too early to tell if that will happen again, but good to see some old familiar names still floating around these parts. ![]() |

I just did something similar with a Daytona. Tough for me to tell. What do you think?

I just don't think the chrono looking teaser is a Daytona "pushing" through cloth or liquid.
Looking at the side of a current Daytona (I don't own one, just using images on the 'net), it appears that the crown guards are as thick/maybe thicker than the knurled part of the pushers. So if the knurling on the pushers is showing, shouldn't the crown guards be showing? Look at the image below...the crown guards seem to be at least as tall, maybe taller than the pusher knurling. Is this wrong? Can someone with a Daytona show a dead on side view (side with the crown/controls)? ![]() |

If one of them is a new SD, where's the teaser of the titanium case back? Remember that one for the DSSD? And then the domed crystal! Damn were those some good times!

In your picture the crown, crown guards and pushers look huge! While the tease is more of a liquid that conforms to the true shape. Although I do really think we would see some hint of crown guards. |

The only piece higher than the guards from that perspective is the actual crown |
