Also, the Eagles present a different challenge for the Rams. Eagles are number one overall in defense. On a bad day, Barkley will still gain 100 yards. And unlike Darnold, Hurts can run and do some damage on the ground.

Despite all this, I’d rather play the Vikings. I think the Rams could make it interesting.

Yeah I had not realized you just played them in November. Even so, I’d rather face Darnold than stafford in the playoffs and Mcvay will make sure they are more competitive than before I think. None the less betting against the eagles would be ludicrous. Birds -6 seems like a gift.

I don't think we can compare last night's Vikings to the 14 game Vikings. Darnold reverted back to his Jets ways and it wasn't really a game. It's hard to predict the Rams future successes based on last night's game, but the Rams are a different team than when they last played the Eagles.

Hurts needs to be back in form. The Eagles that played this weekend will not beat the Rams with Stafford in playoff form. The offense cannot be one dimensional and win, they need to have the killer passing attack back to exploit the advantage that Barkley gives them.

Deion to coach the Cowboys?

This seems like a Jerry Jones move. But is Deion enough of a coach to be successful in the NFL? Reminds me of Mike Singletary taking the HC job at San Fran thinking the strength of his personality was enough to be successful. Didn't work out for Mike. Can it work for Deion?

I think Jerry is just putting on a show. I think he’s going to hire some pushover like Kellen Moore or Jason witten lol

Jerry definately loves him some Kellen Moore. He forced McCarthy to take him as OC.

Kellen Moore was my first gut reaction when I heard the news. But I’m curious why they let him go in the first place. Lots of rumors that there was friction with him in the organization when he was the offensive coordinator. Maybe the friction was between McCarthy and Moore, and if so, then it’s a moot point.

Barkley ran for 255 yards in the first game. And one of our stud offensive linemen didn’t play.

Hurts only threw 22 passes. And they still scored 36 points. He was 15 for 22 for 179 yards. That’s similar stats to what he had this past weekend.

I’d imagine they’re going to focus on stopping the run and forcing Hurts to throw.

My biggest concern is Nakobe Dean’s injury. Dean never misses any tackles, is great against the run and defending tight ends. Unfortunately, there is a big talent gap between him and his backup.

what Deion did at Colorado is incredible but i'm not too sure how much of it was his coaching skills vs recruitment/him putting great staff around him. regardless, i think he shut all the critics up with this last season and the success speaks for itself. you don't just accidentally turn a 1 win team into a ranked team with a bowl appearance within 2 years

Picking great assistants is the secret to success for NFL HC's. If Jerry allowed him to duplicate that he could do well. But his name won't attract roster in the NFL the way it did at Colorado. That was his thumb on the scale there.

Kellen Moore, Eagles Offensive Coordinator, has a virtual interview with the Cowboys today. And interviews with the Saints and Jaguars tomorrow. Distraction.

Yeah, I thought the Commanders would pull off an upset. I agree. I didn’t think it would be this kind of beating.

Good news, bad news type of a thing…

Good news is the Eagles will host the NFC Championship game assuming they beat the Rams tomorrow.

Bad news is I’d rather play the Lions.

That game was a riot. I feel for the lions fans. Goff didn’t have it. Of course there were college players starting in the lions secondary so I guess he gets a pass?

The NFC North teams turned out to be a bunch of duds.

Lions, Vikings, Packers…

Goff was rusty. Time off doesn't help him. He needs to stay in the groove. And the D was depleted. As much as I would have loved for their swagger to carry them, they didn't have enough left in the tank to be successful in the playoffs.

Washington looked inspired. They have a shot.

Yep. Goff was Rusty. And they got away with that defense in the regular season, but this is the playoffs. Every team left can score at will against them. All of 'em can put up points against anyone (Eagles, Rams, Commanders, Ravens, Bills, Chiefs). So, one way or another, the Lions would eventually lose to one of these teams.

Also, some of the Lions' playcalling--on both sides of the ball--was lame. Too fancy on the offensive side of the ball. Jameson Williams throwing that pass was laughable. The Lions were still in the game at that point, but that's when they lost it (IMHO).

And I find it mind-boggling that they didn't account for Daniels running wide right on that 4th and 2 play. Ridiculous. They should have had a safety or LB guarding against that. But then again, maybe they did, and the player responsible just blew it...

the penalty on the lions for 12 players on defense with the commanders at 4th and 2 at the 5 yard was horrible. brady was saying take a timeout for 10 seconds straight before it happened

the trick play with jameson williams playing qb with the season on the line was also insane

that bye week into playoffs always seems to cause issues for good teams

There was 100% someone there to cover the flat and for whatever reason he committed to running towards a potential RB run up the middle. That was covered you had one job lol

Both these games came down to the wire. In the end, it was turnovers that killed the Ravens and Rams.

Ravens had 3, Rams had 2. Eagles and Bills had ZERO

Turnovers are deadly in the playoffs.

But Andrews needs to make that catch. Not sure what’s going on with the Ravens and dropped passes. Back in November, they were dropping passes all day against the Eagles, and the Eagles cruised to an easy win because of it.

Insane endings to both games. When nacua made that shoulder grab I thought for sure the rams were going to score.

I was saying to my friend I sort of wish they would just let them score quick once it was down to 90 seconds in the bills game. This way you can try and stop the 2 point and if that fails Allen has 90 seconds and 2 time outs to go 35 yards. Brutal night for Andrews.

As a bitter Steeler fan, I must admit it warmed my heart to see the Ravens crap the bed in the postseason yet again.

Now that the Lions are out, let's go Bills. Or Commanders, that would be neat, too. But to hell with KC & Philly

Lions coaching is a lot better since last year. They've stopped doing the overtly stupid things, like going for a fourth and four on their own 40, but they still lack the maturity needed to make the good decisions needed to win a championship.

Campbells assistants will all be gone in a couple weeks. Time will tell how good he is with a fresh crop of coordinators.

As much as I admire Andy Reid and respect the immense talent of Pat Mahomes, I really don’t want to see the Chiefs win again. As a Philly native, I am proud to be one of those obnoxious crazy Eagles fans. Go, Birds! It’s cool that two Eastern division teams are vying for the Conference Championship, and Jayden Daniels does scare me.
