One of my favorite places on TRF. Got to know a few of these guys pretty well and a great source of info for cigars.

Not sure where you are in Colorado, but Denver had a few good cigar shops. Most certainly other areas do also. Or you can order an online sampler from shops like Famous Smoke, Cigars International, Corona Cigars. I mostly smoke Cubans now exclusively, but have tons of non Cuban cigars. I may be able to put together a sampler for you, perhaps other guys here can do the same. Cheers! Ashton, Fuente, Padron, Rocky Patel have a portfolio of medium bodied cigars to try.

Thanks Jaime. I have a friend in Texas who also smokes Cubans exclusively. He is the one that gave me some recommendations. He recommended the H. Upmann Petit Coronas, Partagas No. 2 and the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchhill. I know someone that literally left on a cruise that stops in Cuba that offered to bring some back along with a bottle of Havana Club that I have been looking for. Thank you for the kind gesture. When I started in whiskeys about a year and a half ago I thought it was pretty extensive and then I looked at cigars and my mind was blown. I had no idea how deep one could go into cigars. A buddy of mine here is having a son and my wife and I are due a week later, the plan is to go play a celebratory round of golf with some good cigars.

H. Upmann petit coronas are one of my favorites. Unfortunately they were discontinued by Habanos S.A. Dumb move. I have about 4 boxes left.

I don’t drink beer so I’m no help there. I like rye and bourbon mostly but rum and scotch is great with cigars too. Red wine is also nice.

There’s a cigar spot called Jerry’s in downtown Denver that’s good. Assuming Northern Colorado means not Denver?

What should I tell my friend to get instead. All I mentioned were the H. Upmann petit Coronas. Didn’t know they were discontinued. They have WiFi so I have some time to text them before. 4 boxes left sounded like a lot to me and then I saw your emoji so I am assuming that is not a lot lol.

Well I have 4 boxes. That is 100 cigars. Considering they are deleted, I will have to savor them. Montecristo#4 are good. Partagas SerieD#4, Ramon Allones Specially Selected.

Make sure your friend only buys boxes from an official LaCasa del Habanos government store. There are street walkers peddling fakes all over Cuba. Don't get burned. Also, makes sure he inspects the cigars in the box before he buys it. Beetles are not good.

My Father Connecticut and the Tatuaje Negociant are great medium bodied cigars. Also the Caldwell Eastern Standard is another good one not too strong. You should be able to find these in a good cigar shop.

Awesome. Thank you for the recommendations. Have you had the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill’s?

I just got that Samurai yesterday. I thought it would go great with my Shogun, Monster and Turtles! Lol!

Love the raspberry strap. Definitely looks great on that Seiko Samurai.

Tried a cigar on the weekend, yup, can't see this as an ongoing thing...my friends enjoyed the cigars I grabbed for them, laughed out loud as I turned green. Fun times!

Me and a Monte Cristo....
