I want revenge. I want to beat the Commanders to avenge them for that crappy win they had against us late in the season. And I want to beat the Chiefs bad, really bad. I’m not scared of either team. It might not be pretty when we win, but we can beat either of those teams.

Well, if it's the Eagles and Chiefs again, you can be sure I'll be in your corner with you, Kat, yelling "fly, Eagles, fly!"

Another year, another early playoff exit for Mr. regular season, Lamar Jackson. I said this last year and every other year before that, the playoffs are on a different level all together. Single elimination, there is no tomorrow if you stumble.

The Ravens had everything they needed to win the Superbowl this year. They added Derrick Henry, the #2 running back in the league only behind the phenomenal MVP deserving performance of S. Barkley. They also had the best defense in the NFL.

Not discounting the drop by Andrew’s, but that only would have tied the game. The Ravens defense did their job and Josh Allen only had 127 yards through the air, no TDs. Henry gained 5.2 yards per carry. Jackson had overthrown passes, a fumble and an interception, 2 of the Ravens 3 turnovers. That was the difference.

he had a pretty shaky first half but he played amazing in the second half. the fumble in the first half was one of the shittiest snaps ever that he somehow recovered but then got a bit too cocky trying to extend the play in the snow

the reason they lost that game was all on Andrews. huge fumble in the 2nd half and dropped the 2 pt conversion. imo this game wasn't on Lamar. also Flowers has been out and he's a pretty big part of that offense

wouldn't necessarily consider this one an early exit though, the Bills weren't a team they were "supposed" to beat, even though vegas had the ravens as -1.5 favorites on the road somehow

Ravens best defense? The Eagles are statistically #1 in yards and #2 in points allowed. When they played earlier in the year, the Eagles shut down the Ravens and Henry. But the Ravens couldn’t stop the Eagles and Barkley.

The scoreboard said 24-19, but that was the game when the Ravens scored a cheap TD with 7 seconds left and the Eagles were resting all their starters at that point.

I believe the Eagles were the only team that held Henry to less than 100 yards all year. Also, the Ravens’ receivers were dropping easy passes all day (just like yesterday). But I agree. The turnovers and dropped passes killed them yesterday.

I see I’m not the only person that gets upset when the Eagles stop defending and allow those last minute TDs, because they know they’ve already won the game. I wanted Barkley to run that ball into the end zone, when he decided to be a gentleman the other week.

Yeah, the next week, people in the national media were saying the Packers kept it close and gave the Eagles a hard time. It was 22-10. If Barkley ran that in, it was 29-10. That’s a blow-out.

I keep laughing at the national media saying you can’t pin it on Lamar but also the ravens lost the game rather than the bills winning it. He committed 2 turnovers end of story. They would have likely had a lead going into halftime and started pounding Henry during the second half had he not done that. Instead Lamar gifted us 10 points (should have been 14) and we had a lead and started pounding cook and playing conservative clock killing football.

I remain baffled at some of the bills offensive choices in this game but beggars can’t be choosers.

Flowers wasn't up for MVP, but it looks like you're saying the offense revolves around him.

That's the story for me. This was the AFC championship game IMO, Lamar needed to be play lights out the whole game, not just the last 15 minutes. If not for Lamar's turnovers the Ravens wouldn't need any heroics from Andrews. I pin this loss right on Lamar's chest.

If you would have told me before the game that the Ravens defense would hold Josh Allen to 127 yards passing and no TDs, I would have said the Ravens would win by 14. Further, the Ravens were built for that cold weather with a running QB and Derrick Henry going for 5.2 yards per touch. Without those 2 turnovers, the game is not that close. Maybe Jackson gets over that hurdle someday, but when you look at his body of work, it's all regular season and no post season. All sizzle and no steak... Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco won SBs with the Ravens and Jackson is .375 in the playoffs? Come-on

“If it weren’t for the three long runs, and the two turnovers, the Rams win that game.” - Chris Simms

Such a ridiculously stupid statement.

I mean, if the Chiefs didn’t score 2 TDs and kick 3 FGs, then the Texans would have won.

IF the refs stay neutral, it should be a good game that could go either way.

Eagles over Commanders in the other game.

I agree. Lamar can't win when it counts the most. Folks can make all the excuses they like, but he can't overcome good teams in the playoffs. The MVP is a regular season accolade, a ring cements a great QB's legacy.

I'm not an Eagles fan, at all. But, I would like to see Saquon get a ring. The Eagles should have given him a shot at the title and the gold jacket. Having sacrificed his place in history for the team, I would like to see him hoist the Lombardi as a consolation prize.

I am expecting KC to win their 3rd straight.

Packers fans (of which I am one) know the history that Lombardi's teams were first to win 3 championships in a row under a playoff system, in 65-67. No Super Bowl back in 1965, however, so they were first to win two consecutive Super Bowls. It's was a long, long time ago and I get tired of hearing about it, so I hope KC does something exceptional and wins 3 in a row.

If the Packers wanted to do anything about it, they should have won in the playoffs to have a chance to play KC.

It would be historic, but I would prefer to see a team playing lights out all season capture that glory. Mahomes is in Trent Dilfer land this year. He might get to the big game but his defense is the reason why. The Chiefs season has been pedestrian, with more than a couple lucky wins and the refs thumb on the scale.

If Mahomes flops again he should get ejected for conduct detrimental.

Apparently KC has like a .500 record with the referee that is in charge. Fingers crossed.

I know why they didn’t let him go for the record, but I wanted to see him break it. I would love to see them win the Super Bowl one more time, so I like your reasoning. Go, Birds!

nah just meant he has to pass to someone and that's his main target. it's also much easier to shut down their run game without their main receiving threat

we'll see if he can get over the hump. it took Peyton a while to win his first and shake off that bad rep too. he still has time, hopefully he stays healthy

Peyton, a 5 time MVP and obviously a HOF QB, but he was also not too great in the biggest games either. He never won a title in college (IIRC, he stayed at Tenn all 4 years). He went to 4 Superbowls and won 2, but his stats overall are as follows:

4 SB appearances: passer rating of 77.1, 1001 yards total, 3 TDs, 5 INT.

In the Superbowls he won, his stats were as follows:

2007 IND v. NO: 25 for 38, 247 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
2016 DEN v. CAR: 13 for 23, 141 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT

Basically his team carried him to both SB wins.

The playoffs are different and there's certain personality types that have that extra gear or focus, whatever you want to call it, that make them legends. Naturally Tom Brady comes to mind, but Joe Montana, 4-0 in SBs and never threw a pick in any of the games.

yeah or Eli lol, dude was a different player in the post season

back to Peyton though, his first one was in 06 vs the bears but yeah those stats aren't bad. imo actually pretty decent for a game that big. by his second superbowl he was really washed and def did get carried and still had pretty much no success in between but yeah the point was it took him 8 yrs to get there and save his rep. i put Rodgers there too, both all time great qb's during the regular season but meh in playoffs

Brady is basically in a league of his own in everything, especially playoffs and superbowls. even Mahomes has pretty bad superbowl stats but i would consider him the only actual threat to taking Brady's throne as the goat. his overall regular season and playoff stats are better in every category compared to Brady at the same age

I am a big Peyton fan and know all about this. He was the reason I started liking football. Watched him win in SB against Panthers live and rode off into the sunset was great. Some would argue that he carried the team which I could see but also saw how he choked in some of the biggest games. It was frustrating. Then again, Colts d-line wasn’t great. Denver’s, on the other hand, was much better and gave him great protection (until the SB meeting with Seahawks- that wasn’t even a game if you’re a Broncos fan).

As much as a dislike the Pats and in a guilty by association sort of thing, Brady. But I do have to give him the respect he deserves. Dude was a machine and came to play in the biggest games. He was always besting Peyton. Mahomes is doing a fantastic job which is almost unfair for other teams.

back to Peyton though, his first one was in 06 vs the bears but yeah those stats aren't bad. imo actually pretty decent for a game that big. by his second superbowl he was really washed and def did get carried and still had pretty much no success in between but yeah the point was it took him 8 yrs to get there and save his rep. i put Rodgers there too, both all time great qb's during the regular season but meh in playoffs

Brady is basically in a league of his own in everything, especially playoffs and superbowls. even Mahomes has pretty bad superbowl stats but i would consider him the only actual threat to taking Brady's throne as the goat. his overall regular season and playoff stats are better in every category compared to Brady at the same age

When it comes to Mahomes vs Brady, I have my doubts that Mahomes will play into his 40s. He’s 29. So he’s got some years ahead of him. But I’m thinking 36, maybe 37 max. And he’s not going to be at peak performance at the end of his career.

Looking back at early Patrick Mahomes, I don’t think there ever was or ever will be a more electric quarterback. But I think he’s already showing signs of burning out.

However, Brady was at his peak year after year after year. There was never any decline.

The last two seasons Mahomes has been riding the Spags train. He is not the same QB that he was in his early career. Excellent coaching around him has carried the team to success, but this year a whole lot of luck has saved them in close games.

Media doesn’t seem to be covering it but the bills top CB Christian Benford (who was ranked top 5 in the league this season) took a hit on the onside kick and is in concussion protocol. If he can’t play that is a huge problem. He was out last year as well when we lost to KC in the divisional. Our other corner Douglas is looking semi washed and very beatable and our replacement Elam is a first round bust who is trash.

Also have safety Taylor Rapp with a hip injury day to day. Hopefully they both suit up as we need all hands on deck to make this defense go.
