It's not a very good timekeeper, but it indicates that I have "arrived".

Makes me feel good every time I look down at my wrist. And it goes with me everywhere. It's like a portable endorphin dispenser. ;)

I always admired Rolex, and it really makes me smile when I glance down and see it on my wrist. It also makes me feel special when I put it on each morning - a great way to start the day!

Many reasons. A few that I can think of include its history, charm and rugged construction. There is some amount of aura around every Rolex. You can see it, feel it but can not describe.

My father wore a Stainless Steel Rolex that he purchased in 1971 and gave to me about 15 years ago. It was very light and didn't have a date, so I don't wear it often.

Although a Sub-C would normally be about 3 times my bi-annual watch budget, I came into some money early this year and decided to splurge on it. I plan on it being the last watch I buy for many, many years.

I didn't buy it to impress anyone, but to make me happy when I look down to my wrist. To me it says that I have a achieved something and can buy the "best in class" item.

Because it cost so much money - I have to get some use out of it.

Looks good as well.
No, looks great.
Really great.

In fact, the best thing I wear, except my cheeky grin.

I wear my GMT Master because it was designed for pilots. When I go to work and strap that big ole jet to my arse, I look down, smile and think right on! This is what it was designed for!

I needed a beater for when the Patek is in for service.

When I was a stupid dumb kid my step father was left with a SS Sub date by his passing father and I had a party at the house when the folks were outta town like most kids do...

The watch disappeared...
And I was able 10 years later to make amends to this man and replace this watch with an LV version of this Sub... This was 2 weeks ago

And I have always admired the way his watch looked on him and I loved the elegance that goes along with the Rolex name... So I just bought a DateJust for myself yesterday...

This watch represents a lot for me and my family and the mending of relationships

Plus it looks soooooo SWEET!!!

Everytime I look at buying another watch. I look other brands and then I'm always drawn to the Rolex case. There is just something about them. They are just beautiful watches.

I agree. I grew up poor and was the first in my family to graduate from college. I told myself that one day I would own a Rolex, and my first was a Thunderbird I purchased back in 1997. My second Rolex was a 40mm SS/Platinum Yachtmaster that I owned from 2003 until a few months ago. I currently own my "grail" watch, a SS Daytona with a black dial.

Because I deserve it. I work hard all day, I make a good living, I take care of my loved ones, so I must deserve the finest sports watches to wear

I'll be honest, for these reasons:

1. I love luxury goods
2. I like to be seen with nice stuff, I like it when someone sees a watch of mine and recognises it as being a high end swiss piece
3. I admire the time, effort and engineering put into an automatic watch.
4. I need to tell the time, however I use my phone to tell the time just as much (allows me to check time, check messages and check emails all at once)
