Yeah, it's probably just due to the blurred pic. I just seemed to see those characteristic THIN hands, and I couldn't figure out why a Daytona with those hands should pop up in 2007 from an AD.

I am not saying it is not real! Just telling what I am seeing on the pic (Skinny Hands).

Welcome aboard Porschedog! Great looking watch! I've wanted a Daytona for a long time, but it'll be a long time until I can get one.

Porschedog,

Congrats on the new Daytona. You're one of the few priviledged people to own such coveted watch.

You should set your camera to macro mode to prevent the outcome of the shot to be sharp and if possible use a tripod to prevent camera shape. My old Olympus C3000Z has that function, your Olympus should have it too.

Nice Porsche! I have a poor man's Porsche LOL (as you can see on my avatar). What colour is your Porsche?

Welcome to TRF!

Regards,

Vernon

Hi porschdog,

I am waiting for a call from my AD on an SS. Is that a Z and have you got some close ups?

Eddie.

That SS Daytona sure does look like a TT Daytona or my vision is not what it used to be, lol.

It looks like it has "Skinny Hands"?

More about them versus "Fat hands" here: "Skinny" vs "Fat Hands". CLICK!

Well, I dunno. I just still have this gut feeling. It has got its keys and all, but where are the box and papers?

I'm still learning here so let's see if I get this correctly fat hands should be on recent daytona's i.e. D and Z serial #. Sorry for the newbie question i'm just curious.

Yes, that is right, Mike: Fat hands on the new ones (or on any since mid 2004).

Since we have had more than our fair share of $10 Rolex watches posted recently I think that certain members (including me) seek to authenticate the watch before congratulations are forthcoming.

This may seem a little mean but there is a world of difference in my attitude to the fakes as opposed to the originals.

This watch may well be an original beauty that looks out of shape due to a completely unflattering photograph. The seemingly thin hands and non-parallel sub dials may be a trick of the same photograph or hosting site resize.

Look forward to some decent pictures soon.

Welcome to the forum, I agree with the others about the comments of the pic.

But I must add... nice composition, I liked the 'makeup' of the photo.

Others asked if the watch was a TT, but I'm adding... is the Porsche a TT? What color?

I'm just glad I managed to post my poor quality pictures before all this paranoia over fakes broke out. I hate to think of what you guys would have been screaming at me if I had waited till now.
