I guess dressy isn't the right word I'm looking for. I just want a watch with a little less "tool feel" to it. A little more elegant or refined than my Sub for instance. I still want a sports watch, just something a little nicer. It will still be need to be worn with jeans and a polo! I'm thinking the AP would fit the bill perfectly, and the more pictures you guys post the more I'm diggin' it! I still need to find one to try on though. It's funny, I always thought the Royal Oak was a strange looking watch, and I never gave it any thought. Now I want one so bad its all I think about, tastes do change! Thanks again for all the help!

By the daytona new now...and then get the AP LNIB/BNIB further down the line. You will save cash, and get the best of both!

AP RO for sure...
I don't think the suggestion for a PP makes sense $$-wise... the $$ difference between a 15300 or 116520 vs 5711 is wayyyyy too wide... I am a ROC (26300) owner... |

Yeah the PP is out if my league for sure. Maybe someday down the road, and I feel I'm too young to successfully pull off a Patek (25yo). But I think the AP would fit the bill nicely.

I think the Daytona has a more classic and modern look. It easily makes the transition from sporty to dress with style and class.

I have and love the 15300, it fills a different space than my Sub C which I also love. The next two watches on my buy list, when I can afford them, are the SS white Daytona and the blue dial PP 5711.

The Daytona is going to be about the same as the AP. I'm almost positive a basic routine service is $800ish for either model.
