I'm definitely sure about the lifetime repair. Costco includes a insert in the watch box that specifies their policy. In addition, they take all of their merchandise, except computers and cameras under a recent policy change, back at any time for any reason.

I'm not talking watches but the Diamond Jewelry at Costo is better than you can buy in many Jewellers. They guarantee that all diamonds supplied by Costco are as follows: Clarity to be "VS2" or better and color to be "I" or better as outlined on the industry grading guide.. Plus, If you EVER get tired of the jewelry you get 100% money back. My wife checks the jewelry counter at Costco religiously everytime she shops there.

I still buy my groceries from a small locally owned grocer and can still go in and tell the butcher exactly what I want and walk out with a beautiful cut of meat that I know is superior to anything I could buy at Wal-Mart or Target.

I wear a Rolex because it makes me feel good, and I don't feel good shopping at a big box retailer. I'd never ever buy a Rolex at Costco or any other similar retailer regardless of price. Price isn't everything and personal customer service still counts in my opinion.

I am very disappointed that Rolex is being sold in Costco, and hope that they will consider this a marketing experiment that they abandon in short order.

If I want a watch in a plastic blister pack or sold by a 16 year old teenager, I'll buy a Timex thank you.

Market forces always determine pricing through supply and demand. You can resist market forces all you want, but the reality still presents itself. I personally buy my watch at an AD and anything I can at Sams Warehouse.

The comment about market forces is absolutely correct.

Companies like AMAZON/COSTCO/BLUENILE are as reputable as you can ask and they take care of the customer.

Who cares about personal attention at a full retail store.

Costco would be the only place I would buy a Rolex besides an AD. But, I bought my Rolexes all at an AD.

lol this is a great thread...But i must admit buying from my AD who serves me a Glass of Don while my rolex gets cleaned and fitted is a nice touch of which i dont think costco could do for me

I love it! If Costco had the watch I wanted at the right price - I'd buy from them in a heartbeat. My wife returned a higher-end computer monitor to them that had a small problem 6 months after she purchased and received a full refund with no grief at all. Also, a friend who is in the food business tells me Costco buyers are bar-none the 'pickiest' (my words) when they select products to sell in their stores. I realize a Rolex isn't the same as a big box of laundry detergent - but Costco only sells better stuff IMO. ....back to my big 'ol can of Beef-a-Reno.

I was treated very well at my AD when I bought my latest watch. All in all, a very pleasant experience!

I bought my first Rolex at a pawn shop. It was genuine, and unworn...new in the box! All in all, a very pleasant experience.

I bought a Tudor from a very close personal friend, and again...it was pleasant.

It doesn't really matter where you get it as long as you're happy with it!

About 5 years ago, Costo ran some Rolex Air Kings through for a spell. Just a group of them...just one model, and then it was over. Somehow they occasionally get a group of watches...not from Rolex I am sure. Rare event. It looks like a bunch of ss blue faced TOG's this time in Canada. You will never see a sub or sports watch there I would wager.
