I think Arnold does know his fair share about watches.
He's free to store them anyway he wants. And what point would the watches be sitting in a safe, never to be used. Much cooler to scratch them up a bit on the Hum-vee!

It's all relative fellas. If I made as much money as he does, I don't think I'd lose any sleep over a $30,000 watch.

I listened to the interview and I'm gonna guess it's real.
The detail he went into about how he knows which watch it is makes me think he does really have a drawer like that. Did they arrange the watches to get the best pictures ? Probably. Did they do some touching up ? Probably. Still I bet he does have them in a drawer like that. Why do they have to be scratched up btw ? It's a drawer ... There will be very little movement on it. The only movement will be the opening of the drawer. It's not like they're constantly crashing into each other. |

I don't believe the pic is Arnold's watch collection. He's worked hard to get where he is and understands the value of certain items. He looks after his collections, whether art or cars, so I think he would look after his watch collection. I would imagine his staff would keep everything boxed and itemised.
Plus, I can't ever see him wearing a watch with diamonds on it. Even if was free from a manufacturer.

I thought this was a thread about Arnie's underwear!!
I remeber that saying about two nations divided by a common language :) Beautiful APs. Saw a panerai in there also, i believe. Cheers |

Talking about how he treats hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of watches badly just shows disrespect for money. It doesn't make him look good in any way. It makes him look bad to the watch world (the target audience of the magazine) for disrespecting watches and bad to the rest of the world for disrespecting money. The only people who might like him more for this is some rich guy who's also too rich to care and can connect with him on that Or some really laid back guy who likes that he doesn't take it all too seriously Lying does not help him in any way so why would he do it ? He's Arnie, he could of put all his watches in boxes and everyone would of still wanted to read about it. This is a watch magazine not Forbes, if he didn't wear diamonds then there wouldn't be diamond watches. He could put any of his AP's on it and his sponsors and the magazine would be happy. What you're saying isn't logical. |

I think we maybe over thinking this? This watches looks all smudged up and I think we can all agree that some of these watches were provided to him in exchange for him promoting the brand. We all know that he is an ambassaDOR for AP and I read some where that UBoat was aggressively trying to get him to promote their watches. Sylvester Stallone promotes Panerai and one of the big reason why they are where they are at. Both of these guys are friends and have been known to buy each other the same watch when buying one for themselves. His watch, his money/time and it is all fine in my book on what he decides to do with them and thank GOD he is not babying them and instead enjoying them. Can I get an AMEN? LOL

In the article i was reading, they (Sly & Arnie) were promoting Expendables 2, with Sly wearing the product placed carl f bucherer patravi traveltec, of which, Arnie supposedly bought one for himself.
