It's greeeenn! Maybe if they had gone with a darker green like on the YG GMT II's dial it might be a little more subtle. I'm sure the Riddler likes it.

IMO I think you either love or hate it.
When I was 1st shown it several years ago, I took an instant dislike to it. After having owned the more traditional Sub, I didn't like the colour. |

I would say there were a few "punters" who purchased for investment purposes. The world economies are "apparently" heading for recession, so people liquidate their assets for cash injection on losses. Supply and demand blah blah. As we all know there is a price for everything, you hold off the seller will drop his price. I still think you will be paying $4500-$5000US for good examples of these watches, sometimes less.
I love the watch, I didnt at first. It is fresh and can be worn in my opinion with a variety of clothing, formal or casual. I agree with Tombstone, it is yesterdays hero. I would recommend a buy to anyone, why follow the herd You may kick yourself at the end of April |

My purchase decision was simple....I liked the green bezel and the maxi dial over the standard sub. Each to their own!
There was no investment hidden agenda. |

Gotta say, I really like mine.
IMO this watch has the makings of a cult classic. It gets more buzz, both pro and con than almost any other Rollie, it's different and controversial. It will at some point soon go out of production, and then demand will go up again. It is definitely a milestone in Rolex history, for the simple reason that people can't stop looking at it and talking about it. It will be interesting to see what happens. Cheers, Larry. |

The green bezel looks great against my uniform, but that's it. I still think battleship gray would have been better.
If you ran with trends you'd have a Daytona that you'd sell to buy a LV that you'd sell to buy a Milgauss, and the AD would make all the $$$!!! |

Good to have you back JJ. I'm surprised at the lack of posting you've been doing lately [in re: the JJ baiting going on with NATO straps on Plattys] have you or the flock been under the weather? |

I saw one in an AD over Xmas up in Manchester for list £3030. However, grey dealers still asking anything from list to £3400 for them, so still good news over here in England I'm toying with the idea of replacing Bluesy with one if my insurance pay out allows
We'll see..

I tend to agree. I think at some point the LV will join other references that nobody liked---- the 1655, Milgauss, pusher Daytonas....
Time will tell, |

To each his own...I just don't find the green appealing. I am sure people feel the same about my TT Blue Sub...LOL...Not!

If I had to choose only one, I'd choose the classic black.

Am I missing something here?
Wouldn't the Holy Grail of (modern) subs be the green LV with a black bezel insert??? A mod approved by Rolex no less... |

Robert: the Green Glass Milgauss's I've seen on ebay are going for way over $12K....and I think that is insane, but then the market place decides......

That means all I would have to do if I got an LV is to find the correct bezel and install it ( or have a jeweler do it ), and when I turn it into rolex for service down the road, they won't mess with it ? Does anyone know if there's a suggested black bezel for it ? I remember hearing how some work better than others. This seems like it may be my ultimate rolex right there. |

Man this bezel colour thing drives me crazy!!!!!
Black suit, white shirt, neutral tie...the LV looks a stunner. Okay I couldn't get away with a pink candy striped shirt and pink tie but with most colours it looks great. Another point is that Rolex have taken it off of the website under the Sub examples. Could they perhaps be winding it's production down? J |

If I didn't already have a sub, I'd be looking for an LV--but I'd put the black insert in it. Don't like the color, but I do like the maxi-lume.
Although I'm wishing my sub had lug holes. That's it--I need an LV with lug holes and a black bezel insert. Tool perfection. |

Would Rolex replace a genuine black bezel with a green one if you sent it in for service (or would the Rolex police declare it a fake and confiscate it? )
Now this is what I'm talking about! |
