Thanks to all the replies and opinions... some great feedback, makes the decision easier and harder at the same time!

Yes Peter, a couple of weeks ago I went to try a Green Sub LVC and was a little underwhelmed... so asked to see the YM and I was wowed. At the time, I didn't think to do a back-to-back with the Milgauss.

Neither would be a bad choice really, but I'd probably sway towards the YM just because of the case shape. I much prefer the crown guards shape to the no guards look.
Good luck on that dilemma John, and make sure to bring it along to the SYD GTG in Jan!!
Rob, good point about the crown guards (even though you may be a biased YM owner ) I will definitely have one or the other on when I see you next!

To Cru and others who suggested a DJII, damn, this is hard enough to choose between two, adding a third into the mix spins my head!

Some of the feedback has helped focus on the pro's and con's...
1. YM has date + if I'm not mistaken, the new Glidelock bracelet?
2. Milgauss is oh'so cool, space-age looks, stunning blue dial overlayed with Green crystal and maybe a little more unique and different to my other watches...

I'm pretty sure that I can't go wrong with either one, so no wrong decisions here

Cru, I checked this and the DJ2 and YM blue are the same colour or very very similar. Both stunning, just depends how you like it packaged.

Just to mix it up, have you considered the Black Bay Blue?

YM2 out of your choices though.

Think the BBB will date the best of the three I mention IMOA.

Yacht-Master. A much more versatile watch in my opinion. The blue dial is stunning.

The red sweep hand bothers me, but much less than the lightning bolt so the YM would be my choice.

I love the red second hand on my YM. Agree about the lightning bolt though.
Seems like a good thing that the Rolex product line provides enough variation to suit most personal preferences. Even though sometimes those variations seem very minor.

Congrats. No need to have doubts. You will love it. I can never figure out why that watch is not more popular than it is. It is on my list of watches to own, and a sub is not??

YM. It has probably the most beautiful Rolex dial (sapphire generation) IMO.

The red second hand is just exquisite too.

Yachtmaster has just the right amount of bling to dress it up. The Milgauss seems very clinical, with a little retro vibe.

I have no idea, I just like the YM better.

The Milgauss is great looking watch. I have yet to see it in person, but the lack of a date function worries me a little in a daily watch. As 2nd or 3rd watch in rotation, will definitely go for it.
Not a big fan of the YM.
