Perlon looks great. I don't have any (YET!), and need to add a few to the arsenal.

I really like them, thinking of ordering a couple soon.
Anyone dealt with watchsdotcom from Instagram?

I couldn't purchase it from the states via their website so I just scooped one from eBay. Will keep you updated. (Got the brown one above).

I'm somewhat of a purist, so I'd have to say nay. That being said, the ones that I've seen so far in this thread look great!

They look nice, but are they thick enough to wear daily with a Sub/SubC or DSSD??

Ok you asked...keep the bracelet...these straps cheapen your watch completely. I can't stand em!

Looks pretty good. Kind of a 60's feel to it. I have only tried Nato so far though.

Newbie question: on a SubC how will you fit the perlon strap (or NATO)? Will you need to buy new spring bars?
You will definitely need a spring bar tool, right? |

Hmm never seen those before, but then again I'm pretty new on the block here. I like the look! Definitely considering getting one. Only thing is without lug holes it's a pain to change straps out so we will see what happens.

I just ordered several for my Russian watches. I like the comfort, too much, of the Rolex bracelets to change anything.

They are superb - so cheap, but very comfortable, low profile (unlike a NATO), infinitely adjustable, non-sweaty, don't stay wet and have a classy retro 60s look about them. Another advantage is that they can be adjusted from both ends, so the strap is always the perfect length for your wrist without a lot of spare strap to tuck in or cut off. Off the wrist they look thin and flimsy but on the wrist they look superb. Contrary to what you might expect, the hole made by the tang doesn't enlarge nor the fibres break over time. The best IMO are from the German brand Eulit, which have far superior buckles with a T-piece on the tang to stabilise it, plus a much tighter weave, and are made from genuine perlon. There are two types - the current Crystal model, and various vintage models, including the Panama, which is my favourite (pictured below on my 14060). There are vendors on *bay who have both types. Black, Grey, Blue and Dark Brown all look very cool on Rolexes. I would go as far as to say that the NATOs will be confined to the drawer once you have tried a couple of these.

I ordered one for my 68 Seiko. I think it should look nice. Could look good on a Ranger or Explorer.

Funny you say so! I showed the straps to my grandfather and he told me he wore his watch on a Perlon strap in the 50's!

@Whatchs and @Whatchsdotcom are very reliable. Have ordered several Perlon straps for my pieces and they look great in person. Great way to add some new wrist appeal without having to spend a ton of money on another watch. Have several for my Rolex and just got a blue 22mm to match my Breitling SuperOcean Heritage. Love them. Highly recommend. Great for the summer when wearing short sleeves so you don't scratch up the bracelets on your watches.

They look great but the buckle/pin are very flimsy. I get nervous wearing my watches on perlon. Then again, I may need to look into these German ones. Typically, Germans do it best again huh?
