What the hell... I've never seen or heard of a turkey being cooked like that- it looks fantastic!!!

If you had your own show covering watches, travel, and food, I think you'd have a hit on your hands. Oh, throw in some nice cars too!

First 'official' Christmas dinner tonight...

Thank you Costco ! Every year you have the best meats

Before and after and also the 1st of 2 home dinners. 25 people tonight and lots of food. Here's what I made put the rub on last night and just took it out of the oven.

4 hours low and slow Prime Rib. Smells good. 12 lbs

^^before oven

^^Started the oven on 450. Then lowered to 225 for 4 hours

^^ looks bigger then 12 lbs. Excellent, good job. Mine was a bit more rare.

Part of the wine selection

^^ my first real foray into Rhone area and it's so nice. Rivals, to me at least some Napa Cabs. Not so heavy with tannins but wow I love this wine. Had to order more after the first case a few months ago.

My wife who drinks Chardonnay, really likes it too.

Great job.p, G. .. I am making the turkey, and my kids are coming later this afternoon with side dishes. I will make petit gateau for desert (more commonly know as lava cake)
Merry Christmas.

G. Here is the recipe if you want to try in the future
http://www.oliviascuisine.com/chocolate-petit-gateau/

I make the dough ahead of the meal, and at desert time, all I t takes is 5 minutes in the oven

I am not a master chef like you, so I need to follow the instructions closely
Here are the eggs mixed and the chocolate with butter ready to mix. Again, Kindly notice that the wine is for other purposes.

Ok,here you have the petit gateau. It was delicious, but I did not greased correctly the cups and they stuck and did not come out nicely like I have done in the past. Presentation suffered, but everybody really liked them
