Enjoy your vacation. This watch looks like right where it belongs. Have fun Seth....I bet while relaxing on the beach you have thought about the Vette more than once.

Iberostar grand? I was there last year, such a good resort. Did you line up a restaurant reservation for every night? A must as they have limited space.
They even have a watch themed restaurant with photos of journe, Patek and Lange on the ceiling!

Nice watch, wear it in good health!

I was at the Bahamas airport some years ago and watched as thieves were using a crowbar to bust open lockers while policeman stood by and just watched.

Stick to the resort compounds.

Stay in the resort and you are fine. Casa de campo was extremely safe, but just outside the resort...

I frequent Punta Cana. Great beaches and awesome resorts. I've always felt safe and always take my Rolex. I especially like your YM choice. Rubber straps and the beach is a match made in heaven.

Just got home last night. It was a nice trip. Not going to lie though, I much prefer being home.

No more vacations for awhile. A long while.

The watch performed like a champ in all functions. Oh, and it was zoetry. A nice place. Would not go back.

Glad you're home ! Hopefully the watch did well.

Even though I enjoy my vacations there is no place like home. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the Dominican Republic - Gorgeous place but in terms of service and amenities, nothing has been able to beat my go-to which is anywhere along the coast of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Riviera, Playa)

I have to disagree on that one... I don't think DR is comparable with the safety in places like Grenada, or even Aruba. Entirely different dynamic from the islands, including safety.

You know, I have to agree. I am big Mexico fan as well. And I was trying to be somewhat nice in my previous post. There are reasons we will not be going back to DR. It is nice, for sure, but it is not for us.

The watch was nothing short of a champ. Really its just a great all around piece.

And btw, I think we are really close to each other. Might be nice to get a drink someday and talk watches. I can hit you up offline if you are interested.

From what I saw, I have to agree with this as well.

Hotel room safes are not safe!

There's a youtube video of guys who hod in their room and filmed the resort manager stealing their watch out of the safe.

Did a family trip to Costa Rica a couple years ago and rented a large house on the beach. Great house, private section of beach, etc... first evening we get a knock on the door and it's our shotgun toting guard informing us he'll be right outside the gate all night.... also reminded us to, under no circumstances, go to the beach at night.

In Punta Cana on another family trip last year, all good stayed at Cap Cana, but a bit sobering to roll into the gas station and the attendant is carrying a machine gun...

Part of life down there I guess but while in my town you can literally leave your "doors unlocked" and the village constables stop by anytime they see even a delivery truck parked for longer than ten minutes to make sure all is ok there are places less than a ten mile drive from my home that I won't go, with or without a Rolex, so it's not exclusive to there...

Yeah. I know it. And tried to tell her that. To no avail. And it's insured so I wasn't too flustered about it.

Thankfully it worked out ok.
