Ken has been giving this tale of two cities speach for what feels like a year or so now. Might be time we all wake up, smell the coffee and buy some mid 2017 put options on the Nasdaq

Kidding not kidding.

Want another good gauge of the market? Look at DavidSW prices. They haven't budged recently and he is probably one of the larger dealers.
Yes. Was thinking the same thing.

It's definitely not strong. There is a reason Rolex has not increased prices these last few years, however, Rolex has been tighter with discounts on their timepieces.

I've noticed a decrease in prices on many watches (14060, 16700, 16570 for example); the prices have definitely come down over the past few years.

Not in my eyes. 16710 has gone up 1-3k in the last two years. The only one I see tanking is the Explorer.

That's exactly what I have seen and pointed out above, but I'm looking over a few year period not months.

Of course they were saying that we were having a price increase but never came about is that the main reason for this or is it just the cycle.

I'm interested to know your thoughts on this and for all my US friends is the same happening in the US.

I see no evidence in the states.

I asked a similar questioner: quantification of this alleged soft market.

One response I got on TRF was Pateks costing $90k could be had for $60k.

Afraid I can't take advantage of this "softness" Hahahaha 😆

Absolutely agree on the 16710.

Definitely disagree on the Explorer.
