........that when Rolex started using prefix letter serial numbers in 1987 the first 5 used would have spelled ROLEX but the O was not used (too much like a zero) so the first 4 used were R L E X.

Subsequent sequence of N C S W T U A P K Y F D Z M V G presumably was just a random order with no significance.

Also, I can understand why I was not used (too much like a 1) but not why B H J & Q were not used before changing to fully random serials around 2010 ??

Now Cartier retailed a blue bezel one,but dont think they ever done one with a blue dial too.And in the late 80s-90s it is rumoured that Rolex did make a blue dial SS sub for the Asian market mainly Japan.There are some collectors that say its a frankenwatch,while others say its perfectly genuine.And quite a few years back one was sold by auction,now there is a old saying there is no smoke without fire so it could be genuine,so I will keep a open mind.

Tudor isn't a Rolex brand. Both Rolex and Tudor are both owned by the Hans Wildorf Foundation. Ie rolex doesn't own Tudor.

Not quite. It was a GMT, not a 2. The first few seasons he didn't have the GMT, he had a Chronosport Sea Quartz 30. Season 4 Episode 1 is titled "Home from the Sea". This is where Magnum is first shown wearing his GMT Pepsi. I read a thread where he gave it to a charity for a fundraiser auction.
