When's RR making an SUV? (not RangeRover)

Porsche did (amidst a sea of naysayers, now they're laughing all the way to the eurobank), then now Jaguar & Maserati too...

It will be 2019 before we see the RR Cullinan so I wouldn't say they have one yet.

A $400k car is not even a pipe dream for me. Something that will not be reachable for me. However, I like to drive so even if I had the money, I would not buy one. I feel like it is a car made to ride in the backseat and that just doesn't interest me.

I would say Rolls is higher in prestige. After all people refer to something being the " Rolls Royce of..."
Also the Queen rides in a few RRs occasionally.
I think they're cool but I'd rather have an F Type Jag or any modern Aston Martin if I could afford that value of car.

I think this car is in a class of its own by the time you add the star headliner and rr stitched into the headrest it's gonna sticker at 6-700k, I'm sure the wynn will buy a couple

I own two Hyundai Elantras. One is a 2003 model, the other a 2017 model. I think there is something in the Rolls Royce purchase agreement that prevents a guy like me from getting within 100 feet of one.

I remember when the brand was monikered as Rolls Barely, now much better (I hope). The quintessential luxury car for those so inclined.

I'm far from an expert on these two brands. I can tell you, though, that I spend a fair amount of time during the winter in Naples, Florida. I see multiple Bentleys every single day. I see a Rolls every 2-3 days. Not sure that helps, but I definitely think RR is more rare.

If you hang out in Palm Beach, you'll see Bentleys everywhere, sometimes 3 or 4 in a row at traffic signals. I saw just a few Rolls, nowhere near as many as Bentleys.

The cars were the ONLY hesitation in selling my family home at the corner of N. Ocean Blvd and Monterey Rd. In Palm Beach. I loved going to see grandma and all the fancy cars as a kid.

Why not drive it? Would be the ultimate grand tourer.

I'd take it up to Napa and Pebble Beach.

Cool car as long as somebody else has to maintain it. I can afford just about any reasonable car but with auto theft, the dozen door dings I've received (mostly from co workers) in the past two years so it just isn't worth it to me.
Every 6-7years (sometimes longer) I pay cash for a Honda Accord. After driving it for 80K miles sell it to a dad buying for a son/daughter, and get 7-8K cash. Then repeat process.
My neighbor is a parts manager for Mercedes. He drives an old GMC Truck...
To each their own.

I know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but there are some things that only a mother could love and this RR (and most other RRs) are in that category.
Well made from top quality materials maybe. Some folks will think anything that costs a lot of money is "cool" regardless of what it looks like.
Now THIS is a good looking luxury car. (the current model is ugly)

I used to love Jaguar..........when I was a kid, I loved this car
Then 7 years ago I bought a jag. The best 2 days of jag ownership were the day I bought and the day I sold.

Rolls-Royce unveils new, ultimate luxury car

It's a beauty. But it's also an attention magnet.

Even those who can afford the car might not necessarily want the attention.

Unparalleled luxury.

One of my great car regrets was not buying an LS1 swapped Jag XJC. The guy wanted 16k for it back in 2001. I drove it and it was awesome! The only problems, it was metallic dark purple, had the standard vinyl roof, grey interior, and an automatic. Had any one of those things been different I probably would have bought the car.

Had friend with an ls1 swapped xj6. It was okay but I always wanted my birth year xj6 like the one I pictured above (pic barrowed). My grandmother always kept an xj jag for her outings at her flat in Bath, a rolls or Benz at the house in Palm Beach and a Benz at the guest house or condo (depending on which she had at the time.) Sadly I only got to visit her 4 times between the time I was 7(parents divorced) and 21 (when she passed in 2006,) and I'm sure if anyone is at Bethesda by the Sea right now, they can hear her cussing me for calling her something "so vial as the word grandmother." But it was the early years of my life that sparked my love of nice cars, then that was dashed when my parents split and I had only a single mother who was a school teacher, no nice cars with that financial status. Then I grew up, bought a jag, after my second BMW and am now back to BMW.... and Infiniti. Maybe one day I will buy a Rolls but not today (My wife would KILL me DEAD lol)
