I’m guessing the “Will It Blend” Guy On YouTube got ahold of it.

I am curious what is salvageable from this? I see one, maybe two, good links, a dial that is a 2/10 (maybe worse but hard to tell from photos), and a very beat to hell case. I imagine the movement maybe unscathed and am guessing that is where the value is here.
Final hammer guess is $2022.77.

that poor 5513!

when i was in college, i had a night class and was on my way from the parking lot. i put my backpack on as i was a walking across the street not noticing it broke the springbar/ bracelet on my quartz fossil (hey i was 19, it was the 90s) I didnt notice it slipped off until i was in my class and no watch on my wrist. i had a coat on outside and took the coat off in class. anyway. after class i found it in the crosswalk of the street and it had been run over many times for the last 2 hours. i packaged it up and mailed it off to fossil, with a letter stating their springbar/bracelet failed and they owe me a watch or repair this crushed one. about a month later i get a letter with an invoice for repair. if i recall, the invoice was around 2x what i paid for the watch (less than $100). lol

People are bidding on it so they can make an insurance claim and get a new one

Glad it didn’t have PCL.

Those things show every little scratch.

Wow, never thought about an insurance claim...certainly fraudulent & and under handed but would be lucrative if the claimant got away with it.
If the new owner is not making an insurance claim, kind of want to see them do a photo time line of their restoration. And a photo of the unseen movement to see how it fared in the wood chipper.

I guess if there was no serial number on the insurance policy they could get away with it, right?

No magic to be done. New case, bracelet, dial, probably movement except for a few parts.
This thing is beyond repair and is just a matter of ordering everything new from Rolex and pretty much build a NOS watch as it cannot be repaired.
