Psss, pro tip, the SD has always been the one to get over the sub. 4digit, 5digit, 6digit and random. 😏

A perfect watch . I love mine and thinking about getting another one to stock. They have been selling quite fast on Chrono24 recently.
For me this is the queen of symmetry in the Rolex line up. Yes the Sub no date has -as the name says- no date. However the sub doesn’t have the minute markers on the bezel. A true collectors item besides one of the all time great watches by Rolex. |

I picked up my SD4K an hour ago. I hope you don't mind me sharing your post, because I too wanted to post an "incoming" post.
Just an unbelievable watch. The size is so perfect, and those thin lugs are sublime ! Congrats on yours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think this is such a perfect watch. It’s perfect in every way And built like a tank. It’s proportions and lugs are spot on. The minute markers make it too. Although most still think the new 126600 is better. Does everyone agree on this? The fact that it’s 43 makes me think it’s not better but haven’t yet concluded. Either way the 116600 is a very special watch and will always be. It’s very different but you have to understand the subtle differences to appreciate it!

Congrats! Looks fantastic on you.
When I first started looking into getting a Rolex 2 years ago, there was one sitting on the shelf at the AD. It was my first ever visit to an AD and I had no idea what I was looking at. I tried on a 114060 that day and decided that’s what I would probably get and walked away. (Ended up with an EX II Black) Had I known what I was looking at, I shoulda woulda coulda snapped up a brand new, SD4K at MSRP. Enjoy in good health! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Flipped mine early on after buying it and have always regretted it a bit....was lucky though to land the SD50 so that helped to offset it. Both are brilliant watches!

Nice to see so many of you guys sharing your SD4K love here. We should open a new SD4K appreciation thread for the coolest and coveted 116600 reference!

I always wanted a diver Rolex. But my love for the modern bracelet made me look away from a 5 digit reference. Sonit was either 114060 or the SD4K, I chose the SD because I hated the boxy look of the Sub with the wide lugs. Then the 43 came out and I thought "ok new movement, that must be good".. I bought the 43 a month ago, sold it a week later. I realized that the SD4K was still the one I really fell in love with. The 43 was huge, and the bezel was too wide, and the cyclops just takes over the whole dial !! SD4K is a watch for a life time, a tank. With a fitted, slim, timeless look. Cheers.
