Talked to ad today and he said it is a glide lock as many have stated. So told him that when one comes in he can call me and I’ll take it or when the window is actually known I’ll order it.

Along the things my AD said, they confirm the glidelock will be rolled out across the line, just unsure of time line. Makes sense though since it's now out for the WG OF YM. It's going to be such a sweet watch after that change.

I haven’t seen an oysterflex model in person. Btw the new clasp increases lead time from 4 weeks to somewhere between fall this year and spring next year.
What are the rumored changes to the oysterflex on the Daytona? I know it was updated with glidelock for the yachtmaster but was told by the Rolex boutique they have not heard anything about that coming to the Daytona. Curious what others had heard.

Hi Guys
Sorry to bump this - but anybody hear anything further on the glide lock for the 116519LN

AD offered me a YM42, and that had glide lock - but my AD was also not sure about the 519.... I check rolex website and it is clearly advertised on the YM42, but not on the 519... Would be such a shame if the 519LN doesnt have the glide lock..

Sincerely hope they add the 519LN with OF.

Glidelock on the OF Daytona would be fantastic. Not sure I need it as the easy link is good enough for me.

However if glidelock did come out on the OF Daytona I would be very, very tempted to upgrade.

I completely missed this announcement at Basel, though it does seem like a logical addition for the YM42 OysterFlex. On a Daytona, I feel the glidelock adds unnecessary bulk. I have both a 116610LV and a 116710BLNR and find the GMT without Glidelock to be much more comfortable.

I'm not certain the Daytona needs more than an EasyLink, but I know there are some real fans here. Do you really think an "upgrade" to Glidelock on the OF Daytonas would be done without a price increase? I just don't see it...

I'm kinda glad I got my 116519LN when I did; it's perfect as currently configured.

Huge congratulations one of the nicest and most sought after Rolex on the market today.

Any discount on this rare beast is a minor miracle in itself.

Wear it in good health my friend, great choice.

I'm wondering if maybe your AD is confused with the Everose 40mm YM that now comes with a glidelock like the 42mm basel release, but Daytona with Glidelock , haven't heard anything but if true it'll be awesome.

Quick question for the new WG oysterflex owners..

Single letter or double letters on your straps or one of each?

Single letter indicates newer production strap.

Looks like the Glidelock on OF is smaller than the full Submariner version. 15 mm is advertised on the Rolex site vs 20mm for the Sub/Sea-Dweller.

Are you able to confirm or did your AD confirm the Daytona on OF will come with Glidelock?

I did not specifically ask, but my interpretation of the various discussions with my AD is that it will not come with Glide lock, unfortunately. Lets see when it arrives though.

No more PM discounts being offered by my AD. I used to see at least tax (8%), but no more. It’s a new world.

Just make sure you love the watch.
