Hope all goes well and you secure your watch from the AD soon. My experience with ADs is that if you’re up front with them and be really clear about the reasons, they will be absolutely fine with that. Also, my AD tells me that they’ve always have clients passing a particular watch they asked to be the list on just because timing isn’t good etc - nothing new to the AD and they wont hold it against you.

"I have a few Rolex watches already, the plan was to add to my collection and when I put my name on the waiting list I was prepared to purchase it then but unfortunately that's not how it works with Rolex watches."

What models do you already own?

- you put your name on a waitlist for watch without knowing how much it cost?
- if $8000 turns out to be some amount that puts strain on your finances to the point where you can't help your family, or cover other expenses, then i honestly don't think you are ready to buy the watch.
- money spent on ridiculous things like watches should be money that you could throw away and not feel anything.

People wonder why rolex owners tend to have such bad reputations....

+1. People should have more than 1 year of expendable money or savings in case of emergency expenses like losing a job or medical issues. Most people I know who buy Rolex have millions in cash and generate monthly income from it.

In the end it’s OP life and decisions. Since it’s OP money and life I say go for it lol. Don’t blame me when his sister needs more money in the near future. If OP doesn’t know his priorities then oh well. We’re all adults.

In term of price Rolex list the price of their website.

Top of the bubble for sure... $100k+ in a collection and can’t swipe a card for an exp ii... seems weird. I guess I applaud your honesty. Good luck with the AD.

I'm not the kinda rich most of you all probably think I am. I have 0 credit cards and purchased all my Rolex watches in cash. Never purchased any piece of jewelry with a credit card or check. I'm basically living a drug dealer life without being a drug dealer

Helping family that’s truly in need of help is the right thing to do! Ask the Ad if they will finance, it may not be the most prudent thing to do but if you do have money coming in shortly you can deal with it.
