id trade the 520+cash for the 500. but i like daytonas though i dislike the 520.

that being said, id definitely trade a 520 for a blro if you arent felling the 520. just because some random strangers on the internet prefer the 520 doesnt mean you have to.

Made that mistake a few times in the past, not doing it again.. Not for a 500, a BLRO or a blue SkyD

I would possibly do this for the Pepsi but no way in hell the VC. Still have no idea as to why VC is holy trinity

If you like the VC then go for it.

None of the above. I understand you wanting to change from the Daytona but I am not a fan of your replacements. How about, dare I say it, the Hulk!?!?, or just a Submariner and pocket the difference?

I wouldn't trade. I think the Daytona is quite special in todays times. However, if you just don't like the watch then trade it.
Life's too short to settle.

DO NOT SELL YOUR DAYTONA. I never use the chrono on mine. The BLRO feels like a 9k watch to me. The Daytona makes me happy even though I paid 17.5 for it. I really think you’d regret it if you sold the Daytona for the Pepsi.

I've always bought for aesthetics over function, if I dont use my Gmt function, so what.. also not a Daytona fan, definitely not a hater it just never did it for me. GMT, Love all Rolex has to offer and own 3 myself. I'd love to see a VC in person, they look beautiful and we know their quality and history are second to none.
Good luck and happy choosing if you decide to make a move..

To the OP: If you aren’t enjoying the Daytona to the extent you though you would (which is very common given how much hype there is about it) I think it makes sense to do a trade for a watch you feel you genuinely want.

At the end of the day, most of us only use a three hand watch with a date complication, so anything beyond that is a bit of a conceit (I am guilty of a chronograph conceit). Wear what makes you happy; after all, we can tell time on our phones...
I’m not sure what you have been reading but the chronograph as a complication is not ‘below only a minute repeater’ and is also not ‘above a perpetual calendar’.

EXACTLY THIS... However, I’d have an extremely hard time paying over MSRP for any current production watch... If you paid MSRP for the Daytona, that should make the premium on your alternative choices a bit easier to swallow... Good luck with your decision!!!

Don't use the chrono, eh. Don't worry about it. I've had an Explorer ii for over 40 years and have referred to the 24 hr hand half a dozen times.

True, but having that world view would be incredible for your collection... always just one trade away from a minute repeater.
