![]() That's a very old picture used to help illustrate the timelessness of the DJ. I've been a Samsung man since the S3 and I'm currently using the S10+. ![]() Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Yes, just because a configuration was very popular during the past does not necessarily make it the most timeless. It can be hard to unravel the question.
Perhaps the configuration doesn’t embody the timelessness? Maybe it is the watch itself? My Everose was only introduced just over a decade ago and yet I can’t ever imagine it appearing dated. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My nomination for the most timeless DJ would be 36mm two-tone, fluted, jubilee, champagne dial with sticks. That said, two-tone watches is not my cup of tea so, my own top choice will be this:

Fair point. What is "timeless" supposed to mean? I think it means the watch does not look too "of the moment" today, and would be successful, from a style and design perspective, if transported into either the past or the future. The configuration discussed above obviously worked in past, and I think it will continue to do so in future, in part because it has cemented itself in many people's minds as one of the most quintessential watch designs. |

Signature DateJust would be two tone yellow gold-solid steel, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet, champagne dial. The one that’s everywhere.

Heres mine. Rose gold TT, love it to bits. Its from 1976 if i remember correctly. Bought it for $600 from the Al Rashid hotel in Baghdad in 2004
However i do have a soft spot for blue dials and have been toying with maybe getting a SS with blue dial 36mm |

For me it was a 1982 SS DJ, Jubilee, Machine Turned Bezel, black dial and stick markers (my father's watch). Growing up seeing this watch daily is what got me into Rolex.

Splendid!
Really classy. Even better than with a flutted bezel, I think. |

Very nice combination which would be in contention for not only my vote but also a configuration that I would consider for my next Rolex. Unfortunately the new DJ 41 doesn't have the same white dial but still looks good.

Timeless? Gotta be the 116234 blue dial, jubilee, fluted bezel white gold, roulette date wheel.
Iconic? Gotta be the 126233 champagne dial, jubilee, fluted bezel yellow gold. Biased? Yes I am because I have both! ![]() |

Another vote for the TT DJ with fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet and champagne dial. Close 2nd for me would be the same with a white dial. But really any TT or SS DJ is awesome and classic/iconic if it has a fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet.
