I would not. I don’t think TT fits the Daytona as well as SS or full PM. Back in the day Rolex used to offer a number of unique dials incentivizing moving from SS, but now they only have the basics. Used to see blue dials, PN dials, and even Panda. For the life of me can’t figure out why a Rolex hasn’t introduced a ceramic bezel and some of the old dials again in TT. Perhaps they don’t want TT sales but rather push up to full PM Daytonas.

Might look good on paper but that dealer ain’t gonna want no Speedmaster in his inventory
Thing will sit there forever. The days of so called good trades are about over. These dealers want cash, so get ready to pony up. |

Financially it’s a fair trade if that’s what you’re asking.

Value is probably about right but that's two icons for one that isn't. However, if I were to get a tt Daytona that would be the dial.

No. 2 watches that are actually legible for one that’s not-no. Not to be offensive but I think there is so much overblown hype and fear of missing out, that people are willing to sell off fantastic pieces just to say I have a Daytona. My advice, stop, don’t do anything for 6 months. If you still want the Daytona then make a move.

I wouldn’t, but of course there’s no reason your buddy shouldn’t if he wants the daytona more than what he has.

As far as daytonas go...my least favorite is the TT and basically why I got rid of mine. It looked great at first and then after wearing it for a couple months the honeymoon phase wore off. I have the 114060 and it is a way more versatile.

I'd do it for the TT Panda dial.

I don’t think so. If you like TT, go for the TT Sea Dweller. It’s quite a striking look...
