Best not to as will create new problems such as scratched lugs etc which will be more anxiety inducing

If you can’t tell the difference, then not worth the risk. And If your AD is willing to do that now (which, btw is so freakin weird), then he/she should be ok w the same deal at your first service - so would ask for that.
