Congrats op I’ve had mine two years and it basically ruined my collection I rarely wear anything else

Well keep in mind I wrote that the outcome of the conversation wasn’t so positive lol

But yeah I think I would like to add one to the stable. Obviously not concerned about it’s size but we shall see

Lovely watch, congrats!

Have you any shots of how the watch sits from a profile angle? I’ve a similar sized wrist and love the SD but always thought it would sit too big.

Good to hear it’s not that dis-similar from the EXP 2 as that’s my usual wear too.

Up until recently, this was a reference you could buy gray with very little markup, so no need to wait.

Now the prices are spiking so makes sense to stay on the list, but this is an awesome piece.

I was waiting for one from my AD and got a call that my SD43 came in, then when I got down my guy said “we don’t actually have the SD43 but you can have a BLRO if you want..”

So I took the BLRO and bought my SD43 gray….

Would like to hear details about the engraving? Who, where, etc.

I like it, and wonder whether you could get a replacement case back from RSC, and have both that stay with the watch?

Congrats on both the promotion and the SD43. I picked mine up from my AD about 8 weeks ago and absolutely love it. The wearability is fantastic, even for a guy like me with small wrists :)

Question on the SD43 “Marks”. I have heard Mk1 (no crown between Swiss-Made) has a matte dial while later marks (with the crown) are gloss. True?

Hi Rmatlanta,
I can answer, I have SD43 MK2 and a friend of mine has the MK1

Yes for the crown at 6 as you said, but they are BOTH matte (MK2 is NOT glossy)

the other very small difference is the font of the "1" (one) in the writing "1220m"
(second line below the red writing)
the MK1 has "I" , while MKS has "1"

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words! It means a lot! It feels like the perfect thing to mark the occasion. I'm certainly enjoying wearing it and I'm looking forward to the years to come with it on my wrist.

They honestly feel the same to my wrist. I don't think one wears differently than the other, although the SD does sit a little higher. It isn't a bother to me at all.

I don't have any right now but I can take some. It does sit slightly higher than the EXP 2 but it's not overly so, in my opinion. If you can comfortably wear an EXP 2 then I think you would really like the way the SD43 wears.

My jeweler offered it as they have a laser engraver in-house and can do pretty much anything. My understanding is that although the RSC will replace the case back if you want, they won't give you back the original. I think it's just because they try to minimize the number of parts on the market but I could be wrong.
