Thank You !!

2 questions:

1. Does this watch come with a bezel protector?
2. Would the watch be the same settings in our Wolf watch winder?

Every watch is personal and you have to make your own decision. Go down and try it on, it's the only way to find out.

Is that a rubber-B strap?

I was offered that piece this week and passed, though a year ago I was ready to pay grey price to get one. I thought about the safe full of great watches I hardly wear and know that after the initial new watch buzz was gone it would just be another one. I consider it one of the more adult decisions I’ve made lately. This year I bought a watch for no other reason than to wear to a wedding, and earlier this month I bought a car because I didn’t want to drive a rental for two months while my daily driver was in the bodyshop courtesy of a 20 year old girl who was texting instead of driving. The bar has been low for adult decisions but I aspire to do better in 2023!

It is a great looking watch but it wears very heavy on the wrist IMO. I bought one and sold it within a week (for a loss) because I felt the weight of the watch made it unwearable

I paid MSRP plus tax for it in March. It's a cool watch but i hate what Tudor does with limiting supply at the start then a year later open the floodgates. Either limit supply always or flood the market from the get go.

Makes me never want to buy a Tudor at retail again. They really need to get their act together if they wanna compete with Omega.

I don't know about all that. The current version of this watch was only released in April of '21 and due to the more-than-passing resemblance to Daytonas of old and the very nice price point, were in high demand from the get go. 18 months later I think we have deliveries finally catching up to demand, and perhaps a general softening of the watch market due to inflationary pressures, more than any conscious start/stop of production on Tudor's part.

Great choice, OP!

I have the Uncle Strap half-link ready to install at some point and have also considered the Steel Reef extension link but it’s kinda pricey. I’ll probably end up getting it soon. For reference, I have a 7” wrist.

Overall, the watch is a big, chunky piece but I absolutely adore it and is probably my favorite piece. While thick, it does slide under a shirt cuff although it’s not at graceful as my DJ41 or DD1803. I am not bothered by the legibility issue and I don’t time much so the screw down pushers aren’t a problem. That said, it is a pain and if I had to use the watch to time things regularly, it would be quite annoying.

I love mine and hope to have it long enough pass down to my son someday.

One of my top 4 chronographs.

The others being speedy, zenith, Daytona.

It’s a little thick but don’t let that detract you from a beautiful watch.

You're probably right, it just happens way too often with Tudor with their better watches e.g. GMT, 58 and those were in a bull market. Those were all tough to get and trading above retail for the first 18 months exactly like the panda, then all of a sudden it's everywhere in the case and nobody wants it.

Is it because Tudor marketing only supports a watch with it's initial release and then quickly moves into the next one? Or might be it just takes us a year to discover the faults with them and no longer desire it. Probably same with any other brand, the only way to keep demand up with the models is to consciously limit supply.

I too recently feel victim to a texting motorist. I was stopped at a red light! I mean cmon. Makes me scared to road cycle these days with all the texting young-ins

I’d encourage you to see it in person.

Lovely, Which rubber strap is that if you don’t mind me asking ?

It’s a Vanguard rubber strap - they’re decent quality, but might not suit if you have a large or flat wrist as they install with a pre moulded angel off the lug case.

The first photo with the black rubber strap looks like a Rubber B and the second one looks like a Vanguard.

The difference is the Black Bay-style dial texture on the Rubber B strap.

I love mine, it finds a comparable amount of time on my wrist even competing with three Rolex sport references in my collection.
