I wouldn’t be able to tell in natural light… but in those pics the 2023 ‘newer’ shade is my preference.

In any case, I am very happy with the watch.
The picture you posted really looks like the newer bezel to me. But again, the lighting changes the look so much! On your papers does it say 126610LV-0002?

Congrats!!

Other way around for me. Mk1 looks washed out and boring. Mk2 has a spring in its step

All of the green bezel watches say 126610LV-0002. Here’s mine from 2022

That maybe so, however he's not wrong.

I have huge respect for Peter (Padi), however he's not always correct and can have quite "closed" views on certain subjects.

I have to agree with Padi here.

Rolex has production runs, and their production runs change so you may see a slight variation of dial print, or something along those lines. It does not mean you have something special (I still laugh at the APH Daytona dials, as I see more APH than non APH!)

Mk2 Green is so much more vibrant and true to the original 50th Anniversary 16610LV, it's clear winner for me, really pops in natural light too.

I own both options contingent upon the specific lighting conditions in which I capture the photograph. The disparity between them is of such minuscule magnitude that it scarcely qualifies as a topic worthy of discussion. This situation parallels the intricate journey into the realm of color variations seen in ceramic Pepsi bezels, thus delving into the depths of nuanced aesthetics.

I think the main difference is the reasoning behind the color change.

The Pepsi color changes were whoopsies in production, and experimentation. The LV color change was for a 70th anniversary nod to the 50th anniversary color and was intentional color matching.

Nuance for sure. But that's what the nerdery is all about.

My AD sourced a slightly used MK1. If he can get it, thinking of pulling the trigger vs buying a new MK2 from them. Love the MK1, the 2 is too lime green for me.

What’s bringing you back to the LV? Keeping the LN?

Repeating this over and over doesn’t make it true. ;-)

MK2 looks closer to the 5 digit. A good thing to be as far away from 6 digits as possible. Well done Rolex! Now to get that unreliable new movement sorted out and we're getting somewhere.

Especially when it's only one member repeating it.

Now that the MK1 is discontinued and have a chance to buy it at retail I am considering it.

I have seen both in person, honestly you can't go wrong with either of them but I'd prefer MK1.

While the difference is noticeable to people like us, it’s still not that much of a difference. Get the first LV offered by your AD, regardless of MK version.

I also happen to prefer MK1 but I own one too so maybe that subconsciously influences me.

That is my 2cents on this topic.

They’re undoubtedly different shades of green. I have owned the current LV since they first came out in mid-2020 and I have seen the new MK2 multiple times at my AD. They are different and anyone saying otherwise is living in their own fantasy land.

I wonder if the shorter production run on the original will increase its desirability?

For sure different. I think the sprite I have is similar to the mk1 which you can clearly see is different from my mk2 sub.
