Please stop with the Dremel's and Scotch-Brite pads. A professional will do it with a polishing lathe and an abrasive wheel like a Bufflex satin finish buff. In the hands of a competent watchmaker this is a 5-10 minute job.

This is not true. All of the links will be refinished to the same pattern. And unless the watchmaker is an idiot, they will be able to replicate the standard Rolex satin brushed pattern.

Keep in mind brushing the lugs is way more troublesome than doing the bracelet. To do the lugs properly, the movement, crystal, and bezel needs to be removed beforehand. So the $500 they quoted in the link was mostly for the lugs.
