I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm new to Rolex and the Forum. I really like the look of the nylon strap. I just purchased an Explorer 1 on the idyllic setting of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. I'd like to wear it with a Nylon strap.

Could someone tell me where I can learn more about having it replaced? My dealer said it might void my warranty. I wouldn't do it if it required permanent mods. Costs? Etc.

Thanks!

Well, without your help and suggestions, Dalip, there wouldn't have been any straps...

Thank you my friend!

Here's my Black Monster on a black nato. I just joined the Nato club last week. I never thought I would, but I love these straps

Just put the Bond NATO I won elsewhere on my Black Monster, and I have to say, I'm very impressed with it. I promise I'll get some pics up soon!

Dan or on42, how do you remove the metal piece between the case and spring bar? I removed the leather strap but that metal piece isn't coming off.

Thanks

It's hard to describe but you need to suppress one side of the spring bar holding the end link while applying downward pressure and then suppress the other side. There is a tool specific for this but don't have one and can't remember the name of it, sorry.

Thank you Dan and Fernando. I took it to my local watch maker and he removed it for me. I must say it looks better than before imo.

I have just read this thread and the guy with his springbar gone is non other than Edward Tudor-Pole! Apt name eh? He was the founder/lead singer of the late 70's early 80's group Tenpole Tudor. Their most famous hit was Swords of a thousand men but they had quite a few others. I used to love 'em! He still tours with a different line up under the name Tenpole Tudor. Tudor, swords, Rolex forum - you couldn't make it up!
