Our other corner Douglas is looking semi washed and very beatable and our replacement Elam is a first round bust who is trash.

Also have safety Taylor Rapp with a hip injury day to day. Hopefully they both suit up as we need all hands on deck to make this defense go.

Yes. Eagles are in the same boat.

Eagles stand-out cornerback Quinyon Mitchell is questionable. We need him against the Commanders.

And Jalen Hurts is banged up. The thing that makes Hurts so dangerous is his ability to run the ball. If he can’t run, he’s a mediocre QB at best.

Plus, the Eagles already lost their starting MLB.

But the Commanders lost their best offensive lineman, so that’s not going to be helpful for them. They have a backup matched up against Jalen Carter. Carter is going to feast all day but the Commanders will likely double team him.

I think double teaming Jalen Carter is an every game thing, not just with a backup. Jalen is a beast.

I was unaware of Mitchell. Jalen Carter is an animal. Wish we had that stud.

I saw this posted in another forum. Interesting. The 3 guys that passed the least were all on winning teams. It's like the 70's and 80's all over again.

A lot of this probably has to do with teams playing from behind. So they have to throw a lot.

Stafford: 26/44, 324 yards, 2 TD. Loss
Goff: 23/40, 313 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT. Loss
Daniels: 22/31, 299 yards, 2 TD. Win
Jackson: 18/25, 254 yards, 2 TD, 1 Int. Loss
Stroud: 19/28, 245 yards. Loss
Mahomes: 16/25, 177 yards, 1 TD. Win
Hurts: 15/20, 128 yards. Win
Allen: 16/22, 127 yards. Win

Aaron Glenn going to HC the Jets. Defense isn't their problem. The Jets will continue to suck until they find an offensive talent to right the ship.

Need to know who’s throwing the rock to forecast their future. I know this year was a down year for the AFC east but I think NE will be formidable soon.

Don't think it's all that uncommon for the QB on the losing side to have thrown the most passes.

I agree, but all I ever see in the national media is the Eagles don't have a good passing game. Of course, they typically gain about 275 yards on the ground, and that's why they only throw about 20 times a game.

Hurts mobility this week is a problem for both air and ground yards. The Payton Manning mobility model won't work for the Eagles offense.

Take this with a grain of salt.

My picks: KC (as much as it pains me) and Washington.

KC ~ 3peat

Yes.

Hurts usually piles on anywhere from 50 to 75 yards above and beyond what Barkley delivers.

Kenny Gainwell usually piles on about 50 or so yards, too, but that’s not germane to this topic.

If Hurts can’t run, they’ll need to throw a lot more than they do. And they’ll need to throw down field a lot more. No dinking and dunking.

I’m a little concerned about this game to be honest. Eagles have the #1 defense, but Washington is one team that could go some damage.

Either way, Washington isn’t going to pile up points against the Eagles like they did against the Lions.

I agree. This will be a comparatiely low scoring game. I think DQ's defense continued to mature through the season and will be good against the Eagles anyway, more so if Hurts is limited to standing in the pocket. The Eagles aren't saying much, so I'm thinking Hurts will be ready.

This should be a great game.

Let's not forget they only put up 23 against the Bucs. Detroits defense was completely obliterated and they lost the only valuable piece left at the start of the game with Robertson going down. I immediately bet the commanders when he went down and made a mint.

Such a ridiculously stupid statement.

I mean, if the Chiefs didn’t score 2 TDs and kick 3 FGs, then the Texans would have won.

I hate when people talk like this LOL.

Announcers: "If so and so didnt have these game changing turnovers, this would be a different game!"

Me: "Oh really?? who woulda thought!"

The O/U right now is 47.5. I'm taking the under.

i've been riding the commanders as underdogs all season, including all their playoff games, so at this point i'm just gonna ride it out and take them vs the eagles lol

I don’t often bet the O/U but agree with your assessment. I’d take birds in the under.

You’ve done well so far! If they beat the eagles in this spot I’ll be impressed. It’s clearly possible and nice to have the points or the action.

My dart throw is eagles ml bills ml TD Barkley, TD Allen.

I’m not making any predictions but I will say that these games never play out as expected. There are going to be surprises and that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be upsets.

Late breaking news out of Washington:

Daron Payne, DT, and their top run defender has been downgraded to OUT. So he’s not playing. Good news for Barkley and Eagles running game.

I don't think they were expecting him to play. He's been out all week. But definitely not helpful that he's a scratch.

Yep, and here are some facts. Again, I’m not making any predictions. But Washington was ranked 30th against the run this year.

With Payne playing, they had a 61% success rate against the run. When Payne wasn’t on the field, that dropped to 51% (not good). Meanwhile, the Eagles are ranked 2nd overall in rushing offense.

So that’s something to keep an eye on.

Never mind Jalen Carter is going to be sending an undrafted 31 year old journeyman to meet Jesus by the 2nd quarter.

I agree to a certain extent based on his 2,000 rushing yards . The Eagles can win with Hurts or Barkley. We don’t know what’s going to happen today however I think the Eagles have the deepest and most complete team. I’m not a Bills fan. Where I live is loaded with them. Without Josh Allen, the Bills barely make the playoffs. He’s fun to watch

17’s a beast and dude’s been on a mission this year. Hoping that continues tonight!

Congrats to our eagles fans, hope we get to meet in NOLA a few weeks from now.
