Thanks, Jim!!
I used walnut, hand-distressed on the premises. I hired a crew of four guys, took about three weeks to distress the wood. Then used an oil stain and finished it with pure tung oil as the sealent. I wanted the interior to reflect the style of my home which is a French Country Period Farmhouse.

It's a winter scape oil on canvas piece by A. Wennerberg, a Danish artist, tho the Russian has a different style.

Real food. Haven't had tacos which looked and smelled that good since 2004, on the outskirts of a small valley farming community. Yes, sorry, it was a food truck, but wow.

Not dinner, but still comfort food. Today I was working on making some good biscuits and gravy for the guest ranch breakfast menu. Should be a good way to start the day on a cold Montana morning. The sausage gravy was on point, but the drop biscuits could use some more density/chew to them.

There is a trick to biscuits which I have not the skill nor patience to accomplish. Cutting in pea-size bits of shortening (or butter or lard). Grandma would say you're overthinking the recipe if it does not come out right. She knew her oven, though.

A bowl of sausage gravy with four well-cooked scrambled eggs is a fav breakfast.

I'm a gravy purist: sausage, milk, flour, butter.

One of the best meals. With crusty toasted bread doused in olive oil topped with a bit of shredded sharp cheese.

Dad regularly made gazpacho back in the day. He'd make it when he was also making a skillet of tomato sauce. He said the juice in a can of particular whole tomatoes was the correct and perfect base for his gazpacho. Cento maybe?
