We’re just moving about 250 miles west, but we’ve been in this house for 27 years and we’re finding out how much “stuff” we have that were done use or need. The big purge has been happening fora few months now.

I hear ya...- The stuff we accumulate over the years is incredible.
I'd have a hard time doing that again...since my last move from NYC to Vancouver BC.
Ugh.. I just can't imagine what a real ' downsizing' would entail.
Kudos to you and your Mrs for the transition..!!

Can you almost smell the grilled peppers 🫑. Corn 🌽 on the husk on the gas grill. 6 hour baby back ribs and beer can chicken 🍗 on the smoker.

It was My Mrs Birthday Sunday and time for me to treat her...without her knowing what I was up to....
Arranged an Uber to take us downtown ...accompanied with our neighbors who she wasn't expecting...to a French Bistro..Alouette.. a cool place I thought since the serve Tartare...Behind the bar they ran the movie 'Casablanca '...which I thought was kinda neat.
Food was excellent ..to everyone's delight...(a little issue with the Duck Cassoulet...but all in all ..a great evening.....
