I'ts funny and hard to grasp because I've never met a jeweler who can do that, and is willing to put his name to it with the crystal on the watch. |

I have. I guess being around it and being trained my entire life helps but to me it's really not that difficult.

Also, you used to quip that you could use 36mm watches as cufflinks...lol....it's one thing if you're Schwarzenegger, but those pics I saw of you wearing another member's DD, it looked perfect on you! Not big, not small, and you yourself said you prefer the36mm DJ to the 41mm DJ II...somehow JJ can get involved in any post.... |

I have met a few diamond graders myself, both from G.I.A. and A.G.S., they all say thats its impossible to accurately grade diamonds that are mounted.

I asked someone at the Rolex service center in Ny.Y. this question and was told the diamonds are IF grade (internally flawless).

again, i will ask the question - is the jeweller you mentioned a qualified and certified diamond grader, which can be reconginsed. If not, it is just an opinion or piece of paper not worth anything and it doesnt matter how good he/she is and how powerful the loupe is........

Well the diamonds generally in watches are very very small, and even if flawless not going to makes tremendous value difference over say VS1/2 or VVS1/2...I am sure that Rolex can buy there diamonds much below some wholesale and retail prices. And most dials say have 10 diamonds and say .05 points each thats half a carrot around $600 max at retail prices
Round Diamonds, 0.02 - 0.07 Carats (1.25-2.7mm) $1200 Per ct weight Colour E,F,Clarity IF- VVS1 Round Diamonds, 0.08 - 0.12 Carats (2.8-3.2mm) $1350 Per ct weight, Colour E F Clarity IF-VVS1

What is the most widely recognized certification for diamonds? Is it GIA?
