Hope it works out.

That is unacceptable, and the condition nowhere justifies the term "like new." I hope you get a full refund.

That's BS. Send it back forthwith & never ever do business with them again. No way can you describe that watch as like new.

The response received from the seller suggests that it was an honest (if foolish) mistake.
The proof will be when you have received a full refund.

Unfortunately 'long-distance' transactions often bring problems.
They are a last resort when you simply cannot get what you want locally.

2012 THC huh? Even if I wear that watch for at least 6 months straight, I could never get it scratched like that. So no I won't be the least bit happy with that. It looked to me like it has gone thru some tough times.

I'd say chase them up and they fix it up for you. Either they give you the black (and hopefully like new) dialled that he claims or full refund.

Hopefully the seller is on the up-and-up regarding making good the deal. Maybe he truly did make a mistake. Otherwise completely unacceptable.

Good luck!

Here in US the equivalent of 120€ would get a good polish done...

Definitely not like new.

Did you get a few pictures from the seller? How did you pay for it? Hope it works out.

It would seem that not many read post 29.

The seller made a mistake and described the wrong watch.
He said he will fix his mistake.

Not sure what the forum members think of PayPal, but I always use PayPal when possible. In fact I prefer it over credit card and definitely over bank transfer. You usually have to shell out the extra 3% but you are 100% covered by PayPal for ALL transactions. That way as long as you send it back via trackable means you are covered for the entire transaction. Just my $.02.

I think we can all agree that the watch in question isn't in like new condition. As for describing watches in general, I think it is best to be as detailed on your description as possible, state what the blemishes are and how severe they are.
