Rolex Bracelet - quality issue

My Seamaster clasp could be opened by depressing just one of the two side buttons that are meant to be pressed simultaneously as a snazzy safety feature. Not a problem with tuna can fantastico.

Larry, this "paper clip" spring losing its tension was exactly what caused the failure of my Seamaster clasp. Looks great but... not always too secure. Don't get me wrong I was able to fix it easy enough and never have any plans of ever selling it but it did fail me.

Yes sir that was the culprit. I used a dental pick of all things to reach in there and restore the tension to the spring. Never had a problem since but if I would have broken that spring it would have been strap time until I could have gotten it fixed.

I've worn alot of watches, but only own one today, and the Oyster bracelet is just amazing in fitting and everything that has to do with it.

In had an omega cal 1111 pre bond seamaster, very nice watch... but what let it down was the bracelet, each link was not quite perfect and the pins fell out frequently, so much sol i had to sell the watch, after buying half a dozen different omegas and other rolexes i finally settled on an explorer II with oyster bracelet, end of story...

I have had a similar experience to padi56's. My Tudor submariner (which had the Rolex Submariner Oyster bracelet) spent tons of time underwater in fresh and salt water, and made it about 29 years before the adhesive that held some of the non-screwed links started to fail. Otherwise it lasted beautifully. I think the bracelet on my new Sub is a great improvement on it, which is really saying something.

The Explorer II bracelet is awesome. Especially the one on the 42mm as we all know.
Maybe the OP was having a bad day and should go look at it again.
"Rubbish" that may be the first and last time you ever hear that regarding this bracelet.
I guess everyone has their own opinion.

Look, I realize there are fans of Omega and Invicta and those sorts of brands, but do you have to constantly take pot shots at Rolex. Wear the watch you like.

Having an option is fine, but don't end a statement with "wear the watch you like" when you're doing the exact same thing as the guy who started this nonsense.

So you don't want people to take pot shots at Rolex but you want to take pot shots at Omega?

I will never understand the chip on the shoulder mentality of so many Rolex owners. It's ridiculous. Insecurity is one thing, but the Rolex defense force takes it to another level.

You know that the Rolex bracelet is a fantastic bracelet. Is there really a reason to become so offended by a random guy on the Internet who is obviously trying to get a rise out of people?
