Technically, one is enough, and I'd venture to say that traditionally, in times when frivolous, insatiable consumerism wasn't so rife, and the majority of people had less disposable money, most probably only had one watch, and maybe for life.

I do not have very many (under 10, and 'only' 3 Rolex), and that's too many. My opinion only, as requested.

I like variety, to prevent me from getting bored with my watches, so Ivoted for 6 to 10. I don't foresee myself having more than 10 though. I am currently at 8.

I actually display mine in a rather nice mahogany box which holds 8 watches so that gives me a chance to enjoy all my watches a little every day even when it's not their wear day. I would recommend it if you have a half dozen watches or more, TF.

Thanks folks. 3-4 seems to be the magic number for most. I assume that would makes sense for getting the most out if your watches.

I am surprised at how many said 1 only. I was expecting zero. To be honest, that makes the most sense but as a WIS it's hard to let go and have one only...
