Yes, but i have noticed that while dive watches are called "Submariner" and "Seamaster" are the names they should be changed to "Showermaster" or "Sinkmariner" because all the folk i know only ever get their watches wet in these harsh conditions, if that.

Yes...they go in the shower. When I'm home, my watches get more abuse surfing in the Ocean than from soap scum in the shower.

They get rinsed at the truck with the wetsuits, then get hosed again when we wash the boards at the house, then a third rise when I hop in the shower.

Funny you should ask...my father used to say he was told that it was not advised to wear his Rolex (et al) in the shower because soap film would build up in various places. The watch is presently with BobR for its 56 year overhaul. Of course he also used to shift into neutral when stopped cause the Porsche mechanic (in 1961) told him that leaving it in gear wore out the "clutch/shifting fork" prematurely. **File under s***t my father told me, that I actually remembered.**
PS. I dropped mine on the tile floor when taking it off prior to shower and damaged the crown to the tune of 300.00!

I'm not worried about showering with the watch, it's just I find myself lately not even wearing a watch while at home, so I don't shower with it on just for that reason.

This is what I'm taking about. I posted a similar thread a few days ago and it seemed to me the ceramic and porcelain nature of bathrooms make it one of the more dangerous environments in the home for a watch. Every day when I go to shower I could elect to leave my watch in another room where God knows what could happen to it, or I wear it into the shower (ok, so I'm a bit paranoid and controlling). I've opted for the later.

My watches are worn to swim in creeks and rivers, while boating, repelling, shooting, hunting, fishing, etc. So the shower is far less dangerous than those environments. Its a watch ment to be worn and enjoyed.

I wear my Tissot in the shower and I would with the Rolex if it wasn't 40 years old.

I have an ultrasonic cleaner that does an amazing job so I can just pop the bracelet in there once a month.

When I travel wear them 24/7 including shower/pool/hot tub/ocean. Not traveling almost 24/7 minus sometimes shower.

I'm probably not going to switch brands of soap to wear my watch in the shower.

I'm not that attached to it. Besides, I stopped taking toys into the tub with me when I was about 5.

No. Normally my watch comes off once I get home from work and doesn't go back on until I get dressed the next day.
