On one of the pictures I tried to show you the engraving of Rolex symbol on the glass.
It's working for now :)
Tell me what you think and what year it is, 'cause now my grandfather saying he doesn't remember if it's really old or it's another watch he was talking about LOL.

I'm pretty sure that's not an actual Daytona, sorry. Those sub dials have the date and other information. Actual Daytonas have counters for running seconds, and chrono timers for minutes and hours.

There is one possibility, that Your grandfather has been a winner at Daytona 24 hour race in Pattaya, Thailand, and received that watch from there.
They also sell that kind of Daytona over there (and even better..).

P.S. Internet is full of pics of genuine Rolex, also Daytona, how come someone even think some fake, that does not even look right, could be "original" Rolex? Sorry.

Daytona's are chronographs but the one you showed has a date function... that's the easiest tell that it's a fake.

It's real alright, real fake! Also, looked nothing like the OP said he remembered what it looked like with the diamond markers and in white gold from an earlier post.

Sorry about your loss. As others have pointed out. The prognosis is very sad for that watch.

This is what the OP said he remembered it looking like which doesn't even come close to the terrible fake he actually posted.
