On WoS in Regent St, I always found their service to be impeccable and I don't think they are paid $7.25 in there btw. A guy who I spoke to was telling me how he flew to Switzerland and met some senior people at Patek, previewed some new pieces and just was a knowledgeable and friendly chap. WoS also offer champagne, nibbles and at Xmas mince pies which are nice touches aand adds to the overall experience. Here in HK you'd be lucky to get a glass of tap water in most AD's

I agree with you on Roger Dubuis, I have always liked the Excalibur Round table 1, so I went in asking to see one in the flesh. The sales got super excited and went on a pleasant tirade about their products.

They then hand delivered a brochure to my office door, gave me a private showing of the Excalibur Round table 2 (far far worse than the 1st one, but I digress). They even gave me a pen with my name printed on it.

Lovely service, however, Roger Dubuis is not something you get from a boutique, one should only acquire one preowned as the resale value tanks, at least 60-70% from my experience.

My go to watch shop in London is Watches $ Jewellery on Bond Street. Bal is a great guy, always helpful and really makes it a point to get to know the taste of each client. Will check out WoS next time I am in London.

The new Knightbridge Watches of Switzerland was the most shocking. I went in to see the new store actually wanted to see some panerais primarily a 311 and a 533. Wasn't on display so asked one of the SA to show me she then questioned me and said are you sure it's not on display and I'm like YES it's not. So she goes and checks on her laptop and then comes
back to me and asks are you sure and I'm like YES. And then she's like well why dun u take a look at this other one they all look the same anyway. and I was like WHAT!?????? jaws hit the floor can't believe she just said that to me....needless to say I went to Wempe LOL

Well, Look at the post below from Instagram/patekcollector !!!!

(I briefly met Mr Khalid at the Bahrain Jewellery Exhibition last year.
Such a nice approachable person who's knowledge, passion, collection and pictures, ranks amongst the best there is )...

Breitling Corporate HQ should send him an official appology.
This is totally not acceptable.
They totally F* Up !
Shame on them.

patekcollector Okay here's what happened to me today Friday 12th August at 14:15 with @breitlingnews boutique in new bond street / London

As I entered Breitling boutique with my son I was hoping to get my first ever Breitling watch as I was very fascinated by how beautiful their watches are, however I was left alone to wait for the longest time without any assistance, I started looking through the brochures and I decided since I'm not getting help I would leave and come back another time, I took the free brochure with me to look at later however when I was leaving I was stopped by the security guy standing by the door, he was being very hostile and quite rude telling me "who gave you permission to take this? It's not yours" I felt it was racially driven and I was being discriminated for being an Arab (Saudi) guy, he continued to be very impolite and I just left. I started walking away and then realized this is not okay and I came back to the boutique asking for the manager. I started talking to Mr. Mark about the incident that just happened and he was being very nice and apologetic however the rudeness of the security guy didn't stop, he came by saying "if you expect an apology from me to you forget it it'll never happen I'm not sorry" after this incident I decided to never step a foot in any of the Breitling boutiques because the actions of a guy working for them represents them

Mr Mark was nicely apologetic and I was more than polite asking him that he doesn't need to apologize, you just need to train your staff well to be compatible with the brand reputation

A single guy can harmful a big brand!!

A dreadful story from dear Khalid. A shame he rarely posts here now. However it does beg the question what on earth he was doing going into Breitling.

That's exactly what I thought reading the post, if I had such amazing watches the last thing I would do is enter a Breitling shop...

Or maybe he was thirsty, I hear Breitling do real Coke when they are not abusing the customers.
