Changing a strap on a Rolex is like riding without training wheels for the first time. I may well up a tear lol. Congrats on the OF, definitely looks clean.
I had one on my SD4K at one point but i found those gill-flaps underneath very uncomfortable and annoying. FWIW I just opted for the everest band since it saved the hassle of switching the clasp. |

It looks awesome op. Great job. If I had a Sub, I'd go this route in a heart beat.

That looks really good. Just my opinion, but oysterflex belongs as an OEM option on all dive watches. Very appropriate.

I agree with you completely, once you take the oyster bracelet off it's aftermarket for the watch no matter who makes it. I got a Rubber B for the same reasons as you. OP have you thought about adding end links? I have seen several around here & makes a difference in the look.

I did this with my sub too and fell in love with my sub all over again. My Daytona was the daily wearer and now the sub on oysterflex splits time with it. Absolutely love it.

That is a great look, I love that strap and would not hesitate to put one on a sub if I owned one.

Nice. That is a smart looking band for your Submariner Date. It is all subjective, but IMHO the original glidelock bracelet is still number one for my Submariner.

Looks great, I love it! Where'd you get the Oysterflex?

Ok. This really looks great. They need to offer this as an option- at least on the NoDate...

This is not entirely true. I did the same the about a year ago. OF pieces bought from my AD, in the US. Most will tell you they can’t, they simply choose not to, but as evidenced by this thread it can be done.

Thank you all for the kind words! I really do enjoy the new look of my sub a lot!
No i don’t think it’s necessary. I go for the same look for the Yacht-master, which is no endlinks. And yes, it is definitely not easy to find a AD that will sell you OF, but it’s possible.

You’re totally right, those gaps mess with my OCD. Get an Everest. Great straps. No gaps. ![]() |

If you look at the stock photos of Rolex yacht masters. You will see the gaps too.
Also a lot of people who put it on leather strap shows the “gaps” too. So my OCD is not triggered lol

So are saying Everest & RubberB did a better job than Rolex with regard to fit & finish? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Everest is the way to go. Seem to fit better and I like the idea of saving some wear and tear on all the components of the oyster bracelet.

This thread is perfect timing. I’ve just sourced a oysterflex band and had no real idea how it would fit my sub
So if I remove the end links, the rubber will fit fine with all the current parts ? The oyster flex is from a Daytona ? Your looks mega |

Nice job. I used to have this setup but sold it as I was not wearing the rubber that much.
Here is a pic with the smarty endlinks. FYI get the Daytona Ones and ask for them to be brushed. For some reason the sub ones did not line up at all. The guy was really awesome though returned them and sent a new pair. I did like it without them. I am definitely one that likes OEM stuff but if I did it again would get the Everest for 400 less lol. |

Hi..The watch looks really good.
I have a Submariner 116610LN and I want to get the Oysterflex bracelet for it. I was wondering how to we check what is the correct size of the bracelet and which one would be the best fit. My wrist size is around 160mm. Did you use the OF chart for strap size? Or did you try a YachtMaster or Daytona in store to check what is the correct size for you? And for my watch which OF strap would be the best fit? |

Looks awesome!
I had a rubber b for mine but never liked to look without the gaps between the lugs like the oysterflex. Was the oysterflex difficult to source? |
