Sweet as sugar! I was lucky enough to get the same white dial 116500 from my AD when they first came out. Love the white and am still waiting for the black dial version to add to my collection. I also have a black dial 116520 but prefer the new one.
Wear it in good health and congrats!

Congrats! It definitely wears small for “40mm” (39.something lol), but it’s really really comfortable, and the great thing about the Rolex line that run on the smaller end down to 36mm is that they all still use the 20mm bracelets. The width of the bracelet makes a huge difference in overall aesthetic and design of the watch. So because the Daytona is on the smaller end of these 20mm lug width watches, the design IMO is very masculine and very strong.

A good example of the opposite would be the previous DSSD which I think comes in at 44mm but had a 21mm bracelet. It always looked and felt like you had this beast of a watch case hanging on by a spaghetti strap. It was just off IMO. Part of the reason the SD43 works SO well, is that the case is supposed to be 43mm but has a 22mm lug width. Same with the SS sky dwellers, 42mm case 22mm lug width.

Anyhow, it’s just something I’ve observed and always loved about the Daytona and most of the 5 digit reference watches. They push the lug width to the max and it gives the watch a great feel and fantastic wrist presence.

Oh, and check your crown guards. Looks like they forgot a couple stickers!
They are both 40mm diameter.

Couple of observations, haven't never worn it myself, only seen it in pictures and on someone else's wrist (but in black).

- It wears small, compared to my SubC, and even more compared to my SD43. The "smallness" is relative. I can only imagine comparing it with the DSSD I prefer chunky watches, but this is a change for me.

- The black bezel makes the watch contrast so much, love the rounded casing.

- Feels less of a tool watch than the SubC, and that is a good thing to change it up, as I tend to get bored with things really quick.

- Love the small details and the dials.

Overall, pretty pleased with the trades I made for it.
Strange how taste differs regarding size. I'd see it as borderline big based on that picture.
