Ferrari 308 is a great car; very simple to work on, carbs went to injection at end of the series. The car in the show was a 308 GTSi, then 308 GTSi QV. Decent, documented used ones can be yours for around $35-45k, but bear in mind Ferrari -maintanence- is insane.

I have read you have to pull the engine out to do just about any work on the engine except for oil changes.

Years ago I think it in 97 I new a guy in Scottsdale that got a 328 Ferrari and
he was well off and had plenty of money to blow on cars but he told me he was spending a average of 1500+ a month in repairs to drive it ....so he got rid of it and got a SC400 Lexus.

not sure how true that is, though it is certainly true of the mid-engined v-12s. 308s and 328 were 8cyl, descended from the drop-dead gorgeous Dino of the early 1970s, which Enzo commissioned Pinninfarina to design in memory of Enzo's son who had died of kidney desease.

Again, as ferraris go, the 308/328 line is relatively affordable. i have noticed the last of the Modials, the "T" version, and the 348s have also come down in resale to sub 50k. but yes, even an oil change can be pricey.

With something like a 911, expect to pay X. With a Ferrari, it's more like 3x. With a Lambo, double it again.
