Best release between Rolex and Tudor. Too thick, but it will sell like hotcakes.

The Tudor Black Bay Pro
Yeah, that’s the best release from Tudor/Rolex, but even this is not on my shopping list.

Damn good looking watch, hopefully the thickness will be in proportion to the rest of the case.

Would like to pick one up, but yes, the thickness is a concern. Will be interested to see how it's apportioned between the case, case back, and domed crystal. Still longing for a proper Black Bay 58 GMT.

Disappointingly thick. Love everything else about it. Best thing about this release is that the T-fit clasp is being produced in steel. Hopefully the clasp can be ordered separately for existing 58 models.

Extremely cool watch. If they fixed the GMT fiasco for good, of course.

the thickness is over blown IMO.
if you wore the pelagos thickness wise this will wear the same. the side profile looks good. with the protruding caseback and domed sapphire i bet 2-2.5 mm is in those two dimensions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1zbttslpsI in any event it is on my list for this year.

This watch will be a spectacular travel watch. Very low key look with all the functionality of a proper GMT. For all the “should I wear my Rolex to this vacation spot” threads, this watch should be the answer.

What I was hoping for as the ExpII is just too big for my wrist. Told my favorite SA/Store Manager after seeing the teaser videos that if we get a sub-41mm North Flag or outdoor release from Tudor to put me down for the first one they get. He’s at W&W now and I texted him after seeing the releases this morning and he said the BB Pro is so good. Sent this pic which I think looks far better than press photos.
Not even faux lume really. Just not stark white and I think it suits the watch perfectly. Also love that it’s 200m WR making it a true GADA watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well it's not a Ranger, but I like it. I don't think the thickness will be as bad on wrist. I like it has the clasp and the steel bezel is nice to see.

Hands-on video with the Black Bay Pro. Overall case thickness doesn't look too bad. https://youtu.be/S1zbttslpsI

It looks more like they are imitating them. That's a vintage Exlporer II, minus the crown guards and cyclops. Nothing original, but if it fills a niche that Rolex have left, it's easy money for not much effort.

This release and hopefully more like it is why I’m quitting Rolex and going all Tudor.
This is absolutely on fire. |

If you look at it from the side profile shot showing the crown it does not look slab sided at all (which the original BB41 suffers from). The total thickness does not tell the whole story, there are plenty of watches where you think that's too thick but then you realize they have a domed crystal, etc. Also, I am not the biggest fan of yellow but I kind of like it. I am glad they didn't go with orange or it would have been too much like an EXP II. This gives it an identity of it's own. I am also a fan of clasp and the date function which clicks back if you go backwards towards midnight.

I'm trying to like this watch but for some reason the yellow 24hr hand and the overall fauxtina look of the hands and markers doesn't work for me

Oh, Tudor, once again as thick as a Big Mac.
pass. Suggestions: make it thinner, get rid of the fake rivets, put crown guards. Jeez. |

Stop with the thickness already these are sport watches. Tudor continues to be what Rolex was. Yes expensive, but attainable very functional and tough as nails. I think what they are doing is interesting as tudor at this point has more Rolex dna in their models and that allows Rolex to go upmarket and cater to the oligarch crowd.
