Just asked for a 5167r and got it in a week, but have bought 3 pateks and many rolex bought as long standing customer. Yet it’s not as easy even for me…

I waited 1.5 year for the 5261R. It's hard to get Aquanaut these days and more so for Nautilus.

I’m becoming more convinced it is this:

I have heard some AD murmur that it has stripes like Nautilus.

But this was pretty convincing to me:

The invitation is the same shape as the above square dial…

Plus it has the name cube in it...so I'm with you here.

I'm convinced it's got a dial that looks like the nautilus and they finally embrace easy removable/swapable straps/bracelets like VC and AP.

I think swapable strap/bracelet is all but certain given TS alluding to it with his “convertible” comments

Cubitus-latest

Or the cube reference is all part of a ruse by Patek. And they are really going to release a watch to go after the Richard Mille market.

How lame would it be for them to re-use the Nautilus dial in a different shape... I'd lose all my remaining confidence in Thierry. Not going to happen.

I thought it would be the nautilus dial in a round case...but in a cube makes sense with that name...

I agree. I, too, would lose my faith (remaining) in Thierry. But I really am becoming more convinced…

If the Cubitus is, in fact, a stainless steel sports line priced like stainless steel Aquanauts, unless it’s stomach-churning ugly, I don’t understand how it could possibly become an “entry point” into the brand. Maybe if it only comes with a quartz movement?

Quartz. That would be both hilarious and horrific.

A quartz Patek with a see through back and visible movement would be the most hilarious watch thing ever…

Quartz would be such a dud. Who the hell knows. Assuming it’s not, really curious how this positions the aquanaut in terms of pricing, availability, tier, etc.. I assume this is positioned slightly lower than the aquanaut.

Given the suggested price range, $30-40k, I guess above Aquanaut and below Nautilus? But I don’t think that is the right way to look at it. I see it as another model line, which will have entry level stuff and crazy stuff.

I would be shocked if it was quartz out the chute. I think we are likely looking at a Patek equivalent of the Santos, borrowing a little from the Nautilus design.

Are you talking about this? That’s the way they’re machined. They’ll be cut out of the square

Should have called it the Patek Oktoberfest / weisn special in blue and white stripes with models in dirndl and lederhosen wearing them drinking some steins! Big Thierry belting out Oktoberfest classics. Never mind waterproof pressure tests, does it still work when you spill beer on it? that’s the waterproof test!

Surely not another nautilus dial, hopefully something a bit different and original for the dial design. The overseas style swappable bracelet / straps would be interesting.
