That's a good idea to let the kids keep journals of your journeys. I know what you mean about looking back through the kids' work from years ago... I keep a few pieces in a box in the closet. That's the closest I can get to scrapbooking! No antique finds yesterday... just as I was getting ready to leave the house the phone rang and a man wanted to see my parents' place. He's wanting to build a church on the land and use the house as a parsonage. So I met him out there just as the skies opened up with pouring rain... by the time we had finished up and I'd done a bit more clearing out of junk in the closets, it was time to go back to my side of town and get the kids from school. That's okay. Got a lot done yesterday and today I'm loving just staying home on this cool, misty day, catching up with the mail, having some hot tea, and looking at my new Classic Car magazine! ![]() |

Wes - so those first pics are of the place that has the algae/duck pond in back? The house is beautiful.
I get the feeling your folks are searching for a place that just feels "right." Maybe they're having a bit of difficulty adjusting to being "empty nesters?" Do you have any brothers or sisters? |

Yep first pics, have that wood/pond at the back.
Have an older brother, we have both been moved out of our parents a long time ago. They both retired(fairly young 60) about 18 months ago and moved to Ireland. Guess they felt lonely there and wanna move back. But have a property here and in Ireland and are in a good position. So just a matter of sorting themselves out so are comfortable. They'll be fine. |

One of my mates just posted this on Facebook. Our first lads holiday when I was 18 in Spain. Our apartment was crap and cramped but we had a great time. I'm far right. Paul on the left is fair skinned and doesn't look like the sun agreed with him.

Suppose it was it a bit curly, think it was very much a 90's fashion, most of my mates had the same. It was like that 16- 21 and no won't be growing it again

A great pic! All you would have needed is a little "curl booster" or "curl defining gel"- hair products have actually come a long, long way, am I right Lisa?

I had a favorite product for years - L'oreal extra hold mousse. But it's not made anymore. I've been experimenting with different kinds of curl products, and some are better than others, but their success also depends on the weather around here, too. What kind of stuff do you use? |

![]() I remember buying a fake Tag on that holiday, so must be it ![]() When was 21 I got a real Tag F1. Then didn't give watches a second thought till a couple of years ago, then woke up one morning and got myself a Breitling. Couple months later an Omega, couple months after that a Rolex, all from an AD. That's when I knew I had a problem. ![]() You found a DJ with Blue/green Lume? Did you try it on? |

We took out all of the removable links on the bracelet of a similar DJ, and it fit perfectly. So my question is answered - the new jubilees definitely will fit a small wrist with no need to remove a permanent link. While I was at the AD, I asked if the watchmaker could take out a permanent link on the DJ TOG I've been wearing. Took all of five minutes... now it, too, is a perfect fit with none of that bothersome flopping around. Kind of crazy to do this, I realize. I think I've lost my mind a little lately...! |

![]() So, to avoid fluff and frizz, I use an amazing product from Tigi- Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier: ![]() A little goes a long way, and can be re-activated ,later in the day, by just wetting my fingers and scrunching my hair, ![]() |

Yes, will surely post pics of the new "incoming," especially showing the lume. It's nice to have something to look forward to! My birthday (49th!) is at the end of September, so the watch just may arrive in time. But if not, that's okay, too. The waiting is fun. |

Wow! Great art. I recognized the horses by the shape of their heads and their large eyes. I wonder if they're considered anime. I can assure you that the only exposure I've had to My Little Pony is TV commercials during Power Rangers and such but I still recognized it right away. My point is that you may want to watch for artistic talent with that one and see how far she can take it. Natural ability is a heck of a thing and we don't all have it. To see it at a young age is a treat, what with fine motor skills just developing and all. Ten years from now I wonder what she'll be capable of.

Well Lisa- you will be an amazing 49-er!!! Its just a number , right? (Thats my own pep talk!
![]() I've got weird hair too- the curliness has chosen to start about 2 inches down from my roots...so if its too short I just look fluffy....like a golden doodle.....so its taken years to figure out my best length, how many layers needed ![]() ![]() regarding the catwalk stuff- you will get kind of stiff curls if you use too much- it just takes a little; I also find that after my hair dries completely i can scrunch out any stiffness and have a frizz free day I'm looking forward to seeing your B-Day watch! ![]() |

Bill, this issue has a nice article about pickup trucks. I thought of you.... sure hope that in the not-too-distant future your baby is put back together for you.
You guys have turned be into a tea drinker and I'm a little stunned about that - have not had a cup of coffee in about a month. Can't imagine why it happened! |

Nice? I wonder where he was? Yes it's been going down into the 50's at night and the humidity is gone so it's dry and comfortable.

Good evening Coffeeshop! I just wanted to let you know that I'm back from my first week at my new school! I hope everything went well around here while I was away!
![]() I took the time to lurk a little bit but couldn't get all the news! Still, after reading a few posts here and there I would like to wish a happy belated birthday to both Michelle's mother and Lisa, I hope you all had fun at your parties and I especially hope the cakes were delicious! ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() Otherwise I have terrible news, my Ficus Nerafolia is in quite a bad shape! He's losing a lot of leaves and I've found some very small webs with miniature spiders in them! I got rid of them and took off the dead leaves but I'm hoping it's only temporary (the strange thing is that it's still growing because I see green branches but some leaves are in a very bad shape). I'll keep you updated with any news regarding it but I'm a bit worried... ![]() Quote:
