Ok I understand. But many people's snowflake have after market dials, hands, inserts, crystals etc. Im confused about the case back and case.

Having owned several of both, I would start with a nice matte 5513 and then proceed to find the right, original snowflake.

Both watches (Snwoflake and 5513) are gorgeous. Whatever your choice will be, it will be the good one.

Not really many have aftermarket dials and hands though I'll give it to you that some do.

However, when the movement, midcase, and caseback are also not real Tudor you can't say it's a "gen with aftermarket dial, hands, bezel insert" anymore. There you have a fake.

How can you tell the case and caseback? Engravings. How can you tell the movement isn't Tudor or at least a Tudor with non-original parts? Balance cock.

Yes after close examination. The case back rolex sign is off. The crown is off. Also the case looks to flat. Good eye sir. Some poor sucker. Hopefully hes covered by paypal.

I agree Dan get what you want and don't let the name only drive you. Ive enjoyed both brands for a while now and honestly I've been more drawn to Tudor because of the Rolex name only stigma. But IMO there is room for both Rolex and Tudor and no need to fight over which is better, especially when they are essentially from the same brand

So again, if you like the snowflake dial and hands layout then by all means get it but if you prefer the tradition dial and Mercedes hands than get that, both are wonderful watches. It's a win/win.
