I'm downloading the update now to my IP 5 and my iPad 3. I told my wife not upgrade to IOS 8 on her IP 5 for the time being.

I upgraded my iPhone 5 very disappointed it has made it very sluggish. I luckily haven't upgraded my iPad. I'm having second thoughts about the 6 plus I ordered.

First IOS (8.0) was a nightmare on the iphone 6 that I grabbed on launch day. Enterprise email was very funky & rest of the phone very buggy. Spent some time at genius bar as well as with apple support on line. def not a clean launch for an IOS. I'd strongly recommend anyone that's not upgraded their device(s) to sit tight for a bit longer as Apple knows there's bugs to fix. Thankfully they pushed a couple of upgrades & ever since it's been much better. believe I'm running 8.0.2 now.

My principle phone is a 6. I didn't have a lot of the problems reported by others. However, I've noticed that Bluetooth connections can be flaky. I've had poor audio and poor connectivity from the phone. It takes a long time to pair devices also. This part should be bullet proof, but isn't.

The Personal Hotspot feature on my 6 will freeze the phone after a few uses--what a pain.

Anyway to install 7.1.2? I finally found a sealed 64GB 5S (came in yesterday) and I know it was produced before 7.1.2 came out. I don't want to install 8 yet.

Now that I have an Ipad, I really wish Motorola would re-introduce the Star-Tac. IMHO, it was the best cell phone EVER made. With the Ipad, I really don't need a smart phone anymore.

No, I don't want a "phablet", IMHO, even the Iphone 5 was too big. Just gimme something small and dependable that I can clip on my belt and forget that it is there.

Moto StarTAC, FTW! Especially with the thin battery. However, the Moto V70 beats it, IMHO. The inverted display with blue backlight and the blue lit translucent keyboard. That phone was killer. I had it for 4 years and people still thought it just came out since they'd never seen such a design and compactness.
Once in a while, I'll put my SIM in there and use it for a day or two. Unfortunately, my StarTAC was a Sprint phone, so haven't been able to use it in like 10 years. Maybe I can find an unlocked GSM version on eBay and use that one. haha

Now running 8.0.2 on my IP 5 and iPad 3. Both working fine, although I did lose operability of my IMExchange 2 app when I ugraded to IOS 8. I now have to re-add all my Notes to the Notes app that is part of the IP suite.
