Here's my little collection. I have the SS Daytona black face along with our two choices. Believe me when I tell you, you'll end up with both anyway so flip a coin for now and get the other when circumstances permit. If I were in your boots and absolutely had to choose between the two, I say go for the LV now as it's a starker contrast with your Daytona. Don't worry about attire either; I've worn my LV with a pink shirt and it still looks the dogs'. There's no wrong answer here, good luck

Now that's what I'm talking about!!!

Awesome, I can see I'm going to end up with both.

I'm a huge submariner fan. However, the BLNR is much more practical than the LV

I had both and flipped them for PM versions. I enjoyed wearing both and didn't have a favorite between them.

+1 BLNR goes with anything and quite different than a black dial Daytona.

BLNR.

The lugs are slightly smaller, the case slightly thinner, and the attractive colors look good always...it's not a novelty act you have to worry about matching things with. The easy link clasp keeps things perfectly comfortable through thoughtful simplicity instead being over-engineered and over-large, things that tend to induce over-fussiness.

Both are great watches; you can't lose! I like the sound of green submarine however.

I have both and given your circumstances, go for the LV. It gives you a bit more variety when you decide to wear something more casual or funky. IMO, daytona, like BLNR goes well with formal wear, office clothes, so the BLNR is just going along the same lines as Daytona.

Got both last year and went through the same dilemma. First had the SubC Black dial and got the BLNR. I felt having two black dials was too similar and felt I should have got the Hulk instead, but then that left me with two subs. So I ended up eventually getting both in the end and am very happy them. They serve two different purposes for me:

BLNR - being more of a dressier, toned down, nightout weekend watch for me
LV - being more of a casual, go to coffee shops, malls, etc.

I have the BLNR and I love it, but I will eventually get the HULK as well. I love the green dial. Maybe go green first, since you already have a black face dial. You can't go wrong either way, both are stunning in their own.

Does the GMT hand or Sub timing bezel work better for your needs? If your need is simply to have a new stunner, the BLNR gets my vote. Then get the PCL brushed. Best of both worlds?

Owned both and flipped both. Looking back I'd only consider adding the LVc again but would recommend neither and flip your Daytona + funds for one piece--a precious metal Daytona or sub...
